Do we want to change? There’s also the question of just because you reach your hand out to someone, do they have to take it? Sometimes, they don’t want to take it. The original Klingons were mostly just Soviets of that era, then over time became xenophobic axe-crazy fanatics that drank and ate a lot. Which we were supposed to like in DS9.

I would have thought DS9 was Freep's jam given every other episode was about silly ferengi which are essentially Freep's spirit animals. Aside from the episodes where Sisko commited warcrimes because he was a bad commander which they would just nod approvingly at.

Edit: vvv Yep. It was neither subtle nor hard to pick up. Only problem was eventually they had to change them up for the modern era and then kept tacking stuff onto them and never shut up about them ever, much like the Borg.

When Bolling is suspended, he has every right to go after a guy whose accusations have impacted his ability to work.

FoxNews should grasp this.

As for one guest who says Bolling sexually harassed her, the bar on that is so low he could ask her if she’d like drink of water, and she could claim it was sexist.

I like Bolling. I hope he winds up somewhere else where he can contribute and make a good impact.

Politically, he can't fire him after half even the Repubs in the House threatened war on Trump if he did. He also doesn't want to be seen trying to influence justice. Trump is stuck in a hole politically surrounded by enemies. Best he can do is complain on Twitter and ask why Hillary, et al are not being pursued while he is subjected to a witch hunt.

Senate committee is going to subpoena Sessions and Wray on why the FBI/DOJ are refusing to turn over the Comey memos to the committee and I hope Sessions and Wray don't refuse as I am very interested in hearing why Trumps interests are being stonewalled by his own appointees.

I've been homeless and almost homeless again myself, it wasn't by choice. poo poo happens and at any moment I could be homeless again simply because I lose my job for some reason. The only reason I'm not homeless now is because a good person gave me a place to stay till I got back on my feet. This option isn't available to everyone, especially if freepers ran poo poo

The joke is about how Freep conveniently develops amnesia whenever a republican president does something they disapprove of, and blames his fault on either the previous Democrat or the next one (in this case Clinton, since everyone ignores HW Bush anyway).

From Ted Cruz Breaks the Internet and For a Very NSFW Reason posted by freeper dynoman

the excerpt posted:

Ted Cruz just can't catch a break. Apart from a singularly unfortunate stab at the Republican nomination for the 2016 US Presidential Elections, the senator from Texas has frequently been lampooned on social media for his various gaffes. And early this Tuesday morning, after his Twitter account favorited a hardcore porn video clip, which subsequently appeared on his Twitter feed, the unfortunate Cruz is once trending across social and news media.

Interesting grouping there.

Just another opportunity for the liberal media to apply its double standards to conservatives.

Cruz has staff for Tweets. The only thing this means is he better keep his mouth closed about Trump Tweeting. Hope Cruz learns a lesson.

Now of course the phony conservatives here who share demonic hatred for Cruz with their pals at Planned Parenthood will endlessly attack Cruz and join with the anti-Christians and pornographers in having a good laugh.

Oh, come on. Politicians do stupid crap like this all the time. Cruz was watching porn sites, it should surprise nobody, and accidentally clicked the Twitter "like" button when he probably wanted to click to the next photo.

Seriously. I've seen it happen.

Porn site architects place those "like" buttons close to other clickable links on purpose, so people do exactly what Cruz did.

Here's You are not superior to me!, a vanity post by freeper areukiddingme1

quote:

So, here we are, 2017.

America finds itself bumping along with two distinct camps lined up vehemently opposed to one another, those that love the America of their grandparents era (1940s and 50s) and those that hate everything about that era.

The left has long been at war with "the best ideals" of America and American culture.

Why?

Why does the left hate Mom, baseball, apple pie, Norman Rockwell, and Chevrolet? And love abortion, transgenderism, gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, anti-Patriotism, anti-Americanism, and anti-Capitalism?

Because the left could never measure up to the lofty goals that come with being that kind of American, it was far too hard to try and fail and accept their place in society.

They could never make any sport team, let alone the football team, or the cheerleading team, nor were they very good at the hard sciences -- The left is primarily made up of the dorks in high school that couldn't conform and made it difficult to have anything nice at high school because they would just ruin it for everyone else.

In fact look at the Astronauts of the 50s, 60s, and 70s...Every young man wanted to be an astronaut, no one wanted to be a women's studies professor, young men set about to study the hard sciences and we led the world in mathematics and engineering -- Since the left has taken over education, where does America rank now in the hard sciences, the sciences that truly matter -- Is America better off since schools stopped rigorously teaching the hard sciences in favor of promoting "self-esteem." School teachers should only get paid if students can read, write, and do arithmetic (yes, including algebra) anything short of that is failure and they should only receive a minimum salary until grades improve in those areas and any discussion about transgenderism should be grounds for firing due to wasting tax payer dollars.

Men were rugged individuals and women actually cared about their family and taking care of themselves, actually embraced modesty and hygiene.

And then the 60s came along!

The 60s completely re-wrote the book about men and women and roles and identity...It created confusion and to the "losers" it meant that in the new society, that they could be cool, smoking pot, not committing to a relationship, not finding permanent meaningful work, lacking spirituality, and most definitely lacking any fundamental patriotism.

The left attacked everything that was good, the things that created good neighborhoods, good schools, good communities.

The left attacked Christmas and Thanksgiving, they attacked religion, for every success the left enjoyed "the best parts of America" began to die and be replaced by a secular unfeeling, uncaring, oversexualized, ungrateful, entitled, lazy, morally bankrupt society.

Those that cling to the hope that America will someday regain its moral compass and take its place as the true leader of the world once again in science, math, and engineering do so with the vision that the "good times aren't really over," but near and ready to come roaring back -- America is ready for its inoculation to cure its soul sickness and literally "get better" by once again embracing the known tried and true values that make people good people, honest, hard-working, dedicated, and committed to faith, family, and love kind of people.

The left does not possess any superior ideas, their ideas only come with pain, decay, and illness -- The left is not superior to any of us on the right, they lack any of the skills or abilities to truly Make America Great (Again)!

If America stands a chance at ever reclaiming its place in the world we must continue to fight every one the left's vacuous ideas -- Quite frankly their ideas don't require any investment, morals, values, forbearance, or discernment -- Their creed is simply "if it feels good, do it."

Show me in history where a great society remained great and relevant after adopting the life of Caligula...And by the way, we all know the end of that story now don't we.

Give Mom, baseball, apple pie, Norman Rockwell, and Chevrolet another chance!!!

Ain't that the truth. Most people are more intelligent and accomplished than they are. It's based on class envy, but they probably have the communist manifesto memorized.

Why does the left hate

Because that's all they're good at. Leftists have no actual talent; for this they hate themselves. They see other folks, who do have talent. This makes the leftists jealous, and they hate the talented folks as well.

I have said for years that leftists lie all the time. I should add that leftists hate all the time, as well.

And this is appropriate: leftists re-make themselves in the image of their master, who was a liar (and a hater) from the beginning.

It's worth noting that by definition, conservatives can never create anything new or better than what they have right now, they can only maintain the status quo.

quote:

To: NorthMountain

It's worth noting that by definition, Progressives can never create anything, they can only destroy.

Sometimes, there are things that need to be destroyed - Jim Crow laws come immediately to mind. But generally, their appetite for destruction is limitless and is turned randomly on whatever happens to be in their way. And, when they run out of "enemies", they'll turn on themselves (which is where we are, in part, today).
