The best part is all the guards and nobles in the area being on full alert with soul weapons out without knowing why.

I really, really hope Tao catches wind of what's going on and tries to explain it to the others.

If people like cheesy feel-good romance stuff check out Super Secret.

Plot summary : Emma is a ditzy college student. Ryan is her closest friend from next door, who cares for her almost like a mother. What Emma doesn't know, however, is that Ryan is actually a werewolf, Ryan's entire family is supernatural in some form or another, and Emma's parents basically gave her to Ryan's family as his 'property' ages past for accidentally kidnapping Ryan.

It's cheesy and stupid but also pretty fun.

It's fun so far but there's been the occasional undertones that makes me worry it's going to end up like Can't See Cant Hear But Love.

nastycat writes about ridiculously sad things happening over and over and over again and seems to think that a lone happy ending is enough to make it all better. the problem is, even though he never stops dumping more heartbreak in he's also really good at writing that kind of poo poo so it ends up being excessively manipulative. in can't see, even the pets have extensive absurdly tragic backstories.

tldr: i don't like to cry.

Yeah, Super Secret has some pretty sad poo poo in it too Emma's parents completely dumping on her constantly because she doesn't belong to them, her brother's illness, et al but for the most part it seems fairly lighthearted and encouraging that things'll work out well. Plus it's hard to be sad when the MC is just so absurdly ditzy.

It seems like, in the same way American media is partly known for being good at action movies, Korean media known for melodramatic tearjerkers. Like, they have created a science out of making sad dramas.

I loving live in Korea and I've only ever been to one slightly-more-expensive-than-average internet cafe, and that was in Gangnam, and even that one didn't have enough space to swing around a newborn baby.

There's something like this on Lezhin. I forget the name, but it shouldn't be too hard to find if it's what you're talking about.

edit: "Unknown Code" is what I'm thinking of apparently.

Speaking of adult manhwa, until the site it was on got taken down because Lezhin (rightly, to be fair) doesn't like people translating and hosting their comics and not giving them a dime, I was reading Refrain Love purely for the plot, and not the porn. The protagonist starts off an rear end in a top hat who just got out of the army and went home to bang his girlfriend, one of many he's had in his life and treats as trophy objects. Only he discovers that he cannot orgasm, because every time he does he gets sent back in time to the morning of his military discharge. This begins the struggles and development of our main character, as he desperately looks for a way to break his curse, find who has done this to him, and maybe learn a few lessons along the way. It was fun, and funny, and I'm sad I never got to found out what happens to him, because I had reached the part where he was starting to turn into a good person.

Not going to rez the Magician thread after the many years it's gone without a post, so I'll just mention it here for anyone interested: the Magician translation is now passed where the old one was and is releasing every week. It's still like 100 chapters behind the raws but what can you do. It's really good so you should read it.

Speaking of Lezhin webtoons Wolf in the House is pretty entertaining so far (provided you like things like werewolves and BL)

I've also been reading How Far Have You Gone, but only as much as I could unlock for free or 1 coin/chap so far. It's funny and the art is really cute, it's all sex and relationship stuff from the POV of a newlywed wife.

I've read the following on Lezhin:

Reversi - This is actually kinda interesting; the premise makes you think that it's gonna be a "guy with superpowers joins military group and fights monsters" thing, but it ends up being more character focused. It's pretty unique and worth checking out IMO.

4 Cut Hero - This starts out as a kind of "ecchi gag comic" thing, but within a few chapters it starts to have an actual plot. If you can tolerate some dumb anime stuff (like some fan-service* and harem stuff, though the comic itself is genre-savvy and pokes fun at these things) it's actually pretty fun to read. The story is fun and pretty uncliched, a lot of the jokes are genuinely funny, and the artist is really, really good at drawing action scenes. Like it's really remarkable how good he is at conveying a sense of motion/force.

Unknown Code - About these characters who fights these virus things by sorta entering electronics they've invaded and defeating them in a game-ish manner. It's nothing exceptional, but it's generally pretty decent and fun.

*Though the fan-service is kinda aimed at both genders

Poor Rai, can't catch a break. Maybe Muzaka is tricking him and will use their fight to help him somehow? Muzaka seems way too lucid to try to gain revenge on all of humanity for an event that a small group of humans, werewolves, and nobles perpetrated 800 years ago.

Judging by a comment by Muzaka this chapter and last time I think you're right, he has some other plan he's hiding. IIRC in one of the earlier chapters that detailed Muzaka and Rai's friendship it was said that they were the only two people around them who really understood each other, so it's like Muzaka is already aware that Rai is on his last legs, and he's trying to help him in a roundabout way.

All I'm really getting from this though is that Muzaka is probably going to die a tragic, sad death a little ways into the future and Rai's somehow going to live.

well following the ongoing theme, Muzaka has passed his torch to the younger werewolves so his time really has passed. I like him when he just gets to hang out and shoot the poo poo with Rai though so I hope this doesn't end up with him dying.

Noblesse is so much better when it focuses on the comedy/slice of life stuff. Its fights are boring as poo poo, but I love the "fish out of water" vampire stuff. Rai and Raskreia's date was cute.

edit: I want the "Seira has a crush on the redhead guy" subplot to come back.

So following this theme, Rai passes on his Noblesse power to Shiwoo so this webcomic can become "The Breaker, but with vampires"?

I don't think the fights in Noblesse are boring but fights involving the Noblesse sure are boring. The problem is we have no way to measure neither Rai's capability nor his lifespan so tension is lost on fights involving him. The 3v1 against Rajak Kertia for entrance into Lukedonia was some of the coolest unreadable attacks I've seen in a good while, though.
