Quick lesson on politics/messaging from a phlegmy geriatric: https://twitter.com/SenSanders/status/907949996066136064 1. Millions of Americans are in deep trouble. 2. The GOP wants to kill you. 3. Every major country* is already doing this. 4. The people and grassroots orgs. are with us. 5. Big business is against us. 6. We only do this by fighting for it. * Don't loving wonk over this you idiots. https://twitter.com/JStein_Vox/status/907959802952912896 The "Bernie is a pie-in-the-sky moron who doesn't play well with others" myth has always been bullshit, but this is the latest debunking. zegermans posted:oh neat Alberta is a petro state. They have plenty of money to throw around, at least they did when oil was higher. In Canada our healthcare system is Provincial. Ontario's system is different than that of Quebec's is different than the one in Alberta. The Feds set the standards but the Provinces run their systems. Our system doesn't cover everything completely(drugs, dental, mental health, ect) but having worked and lived in the United States I would much rather live under the Canadian system. - One last point about our system that centerists will actually love... Because healthcare is taken care of by the government SMALL BUSINESSES aren't on the hook for providing healthcare to their employees. Really the only people who lose when you nationalize healthcare will be insurance companies, drug companies, and the people who they pay off.

But Jeff Stein has read a draft and it does include copays. My guess is copays remain because Bernie doesn't want to rock the boat too much. We'll find out very soon.
