I googled a bit and only found a single 1-star review on amazon. Are extreme reactions to lidocaine common? Quick Google search says what I suspected - lidocaine is NOT a good idea for a sunburn and could make the pain worse

BOOTY-ADE posted:Quick Google search says what I suspected - lidocaine is NOT a good idea for a sunburn and could make the pain worse That's weird because there's a pretty common product out there called Solarcaine, which is an aloe vera and lidocaine gel. I guess I should get rid of it and just stick with aloe vera only stuff.

Apparently Donnie actually pivoted (i.e. was tricked into it by Pelosi et Al), is about to sign DACA to law and is admitting the wall is an expansion of stuff already built. Breitbart is going radio goo-goo over it.

Well, he can't actually sign DACA into law until there's a bill passed by Congress for him to sign. But he agreed that if there was one he would support it and sign it if it were passed. So it sets up a Trump vs. his own party situation which should be extremely entertaining to watch(or incredibly stressful if your life depends on it coming out a certain way).

Of all the things to purchase a fake master's degree for, when you don't have faith in the education system as it stands, getting that master's in education seems a bit weird.

University isn't entirely about gaining knowledge, it's also developing practical skills and proving you can work hard enough to do the job really really well. You may feel you know everything but the degree proves your work ethic and abilities.

Yeah academic rigor actually matters and is was also why I was a bad student. I had never worked hard at anything until college and had people telling me it's all dependant on the tests, which I was good at doing. I didn't realize the tests weren't the bullshit that I got in highschool.

Basebf555 posted:Of course it's fake, you think an accredited university would hand out masters degrees with no exams or classes of academic work of any kind? dude was basically issued an honorary degree from a fake university after what i assume is the least amount of questions/effort the scammers could get away with. it is possible to get a degree ad honorem based only on your achievements, which usually involves years (if not a career) of notable work. being a public figure also seems to factor in, since these are basically publicity stunts done by the universities. what's a lot more common is universities crediting part of the course load based on your experience, but i've mostly only seen a year being shaved off (maaaaybe 2 in some rare cases) so you still need to get your butt in a classroom for a while. unless you're at the forefront of your field and could be able to land any job on your experience alone regardless of credentials, honorary degrees aren't really a thing you should think about.

What I didn't realize at the time is that meant I never learned how to study or prep for exams and that poo poo DOES NOT work in university engineering programs. Que me almost flunking out my freshman year and having to change majors to a degree with lower GPA requirements. I still think about the irony that if I wasn't quite as intelligent as I am, I would have had to study all through HS and probably would have been fine in college. Literally too smart for my own good.

Lurking Haro posted:If they can't use what their degree requires, how did they get it in they first place? You can learn these skills out of college too for sure. Do most people? Na It's a motivation issue more than it is an intelligence issue imo Also a college degree is also a modern day letter of reference and the odds are just that more stacked against you without one. Data collected shows that the average American earns more as he or she gains education. This idea that education is useless is hurting a lot more people than it's helping. You do need to make an effort to keep costs low, it can certainly be a lovely investment if you're not careful. E: for further reading check out https://www.dol.gov/general/topic/wages/educational Finally, it's worth considering that some regions legit have a lack of solid job opportunities, sadly that's just a reality many are living right now. But if you're in a good area, I'm willing to bet most retail employees with a degree don't stick around for more than a year. Most, as some people do linger when they shouldn't due to uncertainty or anxiety about hunting for better jobs, being tired from long workdays, etc. KingSlime has a new favorite as of 03:52 on Sep 15, 2017 |
