Now I'm curious what the "known for blasting the huge guns" guard units like the Mordians and Valhallans will get, or if the Catachans stole their thunder.

Yeah those suck and top armies all have them, and they won't be changing. Mortars might though which will be a blessing. I just ordered a bunch of Tempestus stuff and a couple of Basilisks so hoping for not too much change.

So how are other Death Guard players planning on dealing with tanks/monsters? I figure a pair of entropy cannon Crawlers would go a long way but I feel I should shoot for something else as well. I feel that the prohibitive cost of combi-meltas makes dropping Blightlords too costly (though I like the idea of a tough distraction unit) but I'm not sure where else to look.

The way I plan to deal with tanks is a quad lascannon predator or two. Maybe a predator + lascannon helbrute. The crawlers are really durable though, and cheaper than the predators. Might be a solid option. For pure AT though a quad lascannon predator does about as well as 2 crawlers. chutche2 fucked around with this message at 20:04 on Sep 25, 2017 |

I'll likely take one to escort my Marines up the table for 2+ all the time, but as it was pointed out they're 142pts after weapons, which is only 14pts less than another unkillable daemon tank with more guns.

I don't mind the Raven Guard stratagem and tactic being repeated, but do they always have to be attached at the hip like that? With Stygies joining the group, we're now 3 for 3 on that exact same combo.

Deified Data posted:So that's how you do vials of liquid. Stealing that for my Drukhari. Thanks! I pick a spot where I want the liquid to come to, then shade down from that. Then I hit the meniscus with a light line of color and I do a few light colored bubbles around the surface and highlight those a bit with white. Once that's done I do the glass streaks, trying to match the contours of the glass. The streaks are almost always a pair of parallel white lines, though on round surfaces I do a larger dot. If you have time, making that dot fuzzier probably heightens the effect.
