What this amounts to in the us is regular old medical school plus some extra classes in the magic fingers nonsense the guy who founded osteopathy was obsessed with. Most DOs know it's bullshit, it's just a hoop they have to jump through. They can apply to any postgraduate residency that traditional MDs can. Source: I am an MD (in an extremely technical specialty with no possible application for that stuff) and work with a number of DOs.

In Oklahoma, more than half the doctors I've ever been to were DOs. Most of the MDs I've been to have come in from out of the state. I understand it's pretty rare for an Osteopathic doctor to want to do adjustments or in may cases to even know how to do them after they leave school. Seems to just be a shortcut for a lot of people. I wasn't clear. I meant that Orthos are typically the "bone doctors". "Osteo" is the woo stuff about "whole body balance" and "re-aligning the body's natural healing" that's tacked on to the more legitimate MD.

Thing is, while the procedures they are doing are empirically valid, they haven't undergone any actual physical therapy training to do them, so your mileage may vary. You're better off seeing an actual trained professional.

However, things seemed to change gradually over time (which is to be expected of course). Some way or another it was found out that he actually found my prior cheating on him to be a huge turn on. He told me he’d like to see me have “relations” with others and film myself while doing so. Although it wasn’t something that I was terribly comfortable with I did it anyways as he was pretty much my best friend and I liked making him happy. It was fine and I didn’t really like any of the people I was having “relations” with so I would always talk trash about the experience and the people hoping to curb it maybe, plus he never did anything with anyone else so it felt weird. I saw he was using Tinder though and told him to try it with someone and he did and was more excited about it as he filmed very long videos and such in comparison to mine and just kept bringing it up. I felt weird about the whole thing but I still loved him. We were still pretty close and eventually I told him to stop using the Tinder as I had stopped doing stuff with other people and he always vowed that he would stop and never did- which was very alarming to me. I just kept moving on with my life and ignoring it though and then he moved out of town. It wasn’t far, however, I’m not comfortable (and neither was my family) with me driving in a large city I hadn’t been to (much less drove in). So we grew a tad further apart as I could only really see him on the weekends and he always made comments about how he always drove to see me but never me to him. It made me frustrated but I felt he was right and so I felt guilty nearly every time he came and saw me.
