I'm working my way backward in the Polygon show but have also listened to episode 1, just in case. I find it really appealing that they never explicitly say "This is the Polygon show, and we're all women." It's just the Polygon show with Polygon hosts, and they don't need to call out how unusual it is to have a four-gamer podcast that's all-female. I am a woman, and I (think) I can perceive the ways in which they talk with each other that are different than the way mixed-sex or all-male groups talk, but it pleases me that they're treating "all-woman" as no more unusual than "all-man".

listening to the latest besties, i know i'm awful but hearing russ talk about the 'problems' with xcom's design in comparison to Mario+Rabbids made me so angry I was shouting at the podcast on my way home. what part of '33% chance to hit' is a math problem? xcom 2 literally breaks down the percentage chance on each shot so you know what factors are in play. what do you mean reinforcements happen unexpectedly and gently caress up your plan? THEY ARE ANNOUNCED! WITH FLARES!
