The secret room in Amber Room is, disappointingly, a big cache of ammo and meds. Probably really valuable on high difficulties, though. It is clear the game is going to have another high end difficulty added.

Yeah sorry, I didn't see the potential gun list under all and currently a demolitionist doesn't see a 1911 until level 18. That is way too much time spent wasted grinding out a mauser. But, if other classes are stuck with it on the lower levels, at least I'll have it fully outfitted to be as strong as it can san-skill buff. :V The worst of the Outlaw Raids is the forest one because mortars will instantly likely strike the cars with gold bars in them and destroy most of them before most players even know what is going on. But with a potential of 200 single gold bars, that's probably a good 30-50 bars of gold to cash out with. EDIT: Actually its just 20. Oh boy, this is still a long way to go. The secondary unlocks must differ among classes as well. The assault doesn't get the 1911 until level 30 and gets a Webley revolver at level 18 instead.

It's not very useful, including as a body drop spot. That said, the heist is infinitely fairer now. Guards do not, as far as I can tell, path through the computer offices at all. The kitchen geometry change also adds another way to navigate past guards.

Nothing about the Raid wants me to get it. I've done more than enough grinding in PD2, the playable characters are generic as hell (why do so many WW2 games have 'good' playable Nazi characters? That's a rhetorical question btw) stealth without silenced ranged weapons sounds annoying (even though they had silencers in WW2, they were pretty lovely. However, they still had poo poo like bows and throwing knives) and it doesn't sound it does anything that PD2 doesn't do better. I tried the beta and it didn't click for me. I think the thing that annoys me the most is they made it look like every other WW2 video game - forests, castles, factories, military bases, bunkers. The level list here doesn't inspire me https://raidworldwar2.gamepedia.com/Missions - I don't see a reason to sink any time into this over PD2.

I can give you two reasons. First, the devs are incredibly responsive and rebalanced the whole enchilada based on player feedback- the release game is way different and much better than the beta. Second, and directly causing the first: Wilko was involved with the beta, but they realized their mistake and he's off the project now. Edit: and wait till you see the Rogue's Gallery mission; it's like a whole different game setting-wise.

If it ain't your thing, its not wrong to not be into RAID. You already have Payday 2 and even though RAID has more than PD2 did at launch, with four years of content on the former, RAID isn't exactly competing as well as it can from ripping people away from a game that's been dormant for a while just to promote the newer one. I also don't blame people from not wanting to spend $40 on RAID right now. I'll still be killing nazis when I feel like it.

Seeing a game change so rapidly and drastically during a beta not even a month before release definitely made me want to wait a few months to let them figure out what they wanted the game to play like and then see if it was my cup of tea.

Day 3: - Pickle Quest mask released. There's a collab with Enter the Gungeon! Payday 2 gets four Enter the Gungeon masks (The Bullet, The Marine, The Cultist, and The Robot). Enter the Gungeon gets three Payday 2 items. A drill that can be mounted on any locked chest while you fight off waves of enemies, a loot bag that lets makes money drop more often but makes you lose money when hit, and a Dallas Mask that summons a tiny Dallas, Wolf, Hoxton, or Chains for each Payday 2 item you pick up. In traditional heisting fashion, I found that the Dallas mask is worth 9999 coins (which is impossible to get without cheating), so you gotta steal it from the shop! edit: actually it seems like all the Payday 2 items are 9999 coins! Secret would own so hard if it was in four stores all this time. Like even PS3 accessible. The reddit developer thread has some interesting notes and it almost sounds like the guy is clueless. Then again this is the type of game where players probably like the game more than the guys making it. Especially after 3 or 4 years.

It appears that only one of the needed items spawns per run of a heist, so you have to start at least 20 heists to catch em all. The bullet in jewelry store spawns on a shelf behind glass in the back office (the one with bob), behind the sofa behind the store, on the vantage point, and behind the parking booth. The cultist on diamond store...I only saw it in the alley behind the store, and behind one of the planters at the fountain.
