Barid Hacker, Muyib box for Muyib link team (new resculpt box coming!). If you can find someone who has Yu Jing Red Veil and wants to split Beyond Red Veil, you get a Fiday/Ragik with Tarik around for if you want to explore regular Haqq. Can also see if that person wants to split the YJ/Haqq Dire Foes box for Leila, who can go in Muyib or Ghulam fireteams.

After our 150 point level with no fireteams allowed I really want to use the Kuang Shi in a fireteam to get rid of their impetuous orders. The Zhanying Lt is my character Lt for the league who has super jump and specialist operative. I do regret not having a Pheasant in this for chain of command, but I couldn't find a way to fit it in with the sophotect if I wanted the Hsien Haris.

Pretty sure it's 3x2mm rounds that are supposed to fit in that little hole but you're better off putting two on opposite sides to prevent rotation, especially on heavier models.

It has a lot of great options that allow you to sort of pick and choose your battles but it's vulnerable to all the same stuff that all TAGs are. Strategos 3 and WIP17 let you control deployment to help insure that the Avatar can be placed in an advantageous position. One huge benefit is G: Mnemonica, helping you stay out of Loss of Lieutenant. Sure, you now have a 137/3.5 hole in your list but everyone is still regular. Finally, Sepsitor is a large template with DAM17 that doesn't just kill, but turns troops against their owner. This will hopefully give your opponent pause before they rush someone into CC with you. Playing the Avatar is as much about real life intimidation as it is tabletop strategy.

How familiar are you with TAGs? It may be best to tool around with a Xeodron or Overdron to get the hang of them first before cashing in all your chips on the Avatar.

Tags are high risk and high reward. One screw up and a third of your points are gone and probably an even a larger percentage of your firepower since what remains will tend to be more on the cheerleader side of effectiveness.

If you aren't a great player they can go very poorly. It is recommended to start with cheap tags like the Xeodron because losing them is a lot more forgiving.

Isn't it DAM18 now with the rules being "all TAGs get Fatality L1?" So you run a strong risk of anything with a Cube charging the Avatar with chainrifles or flamethrowers or whatever (which is a pretty normal counter to big mean scary giant death robots) being turned into ARO pieces the opponent doesn't care about expending because it means you're wasting orders killing your own dudes.

Just be careful about the ones without Cubes.
