It seems like War improves on Mordor in all the ways I wanted - a reason to keep playing after the main campaign, difficulty setting, and hopefully less escort mission lore dumps, which I did enjoy the first time but that really hurts subsequent playthroughs. Yeah, I honestly just wanted more to do. SoM's open world was crazy underutilized. I'll also eat up every single lore tidbit I can find, loved those little collectables that had you rotate the object around to hear a small story.

Calaveron posted:Why come the PS4/PS Pro has such terrible wifi downloading speeds There's actually a known way to fix this but I forget the exact article that went into it. Quit everything that is running on the PS4, don't suspend, if you want faster downloads. It throttles the available bandwidth for downloads by some stupid amount if anything at all is running, even something that can be suspended like Netflix or an offline game. I was able to download the new Doom in about 3 hours thanks to knowing that. LAN's still better than wi-fi, but that's the absolute biggest problem the PS4 has with download speeds right there. It's like night and day once you know about it.

Did we know about the MGS funbux before release? It's been so long i can't remember. I don't think there as a uproar about them to this extent until they were made harsher, the big debacle over MGSV was over Quiets titties which turned out to not even be that great and there isn't even a BOOBSLIDER mod yet. SIGH

The funbux weren't the issue, the unannounced moving of most resources into online instead of offline and then selling raid insurance was the issue

I care about the spoilers cause i wanna experience the twists myself instead of reading them or seeing them in a trailer, but i don't care about the game not following the canon. That just makes it more interesting.

It's kind of curious why people are so upset about what can be considered fan-fiction. Hell the devs could even go 'eh fine it's non canon, now have fun ya bunch of whiners' and people would still lose their poo poo. Sexpig here is like an anomaly. (A good anomaly, but exception rather than the rule, etc.)

That's super funny though. A guy starts a one man crusade against microtransactions in video games by.... posting spoilers to a game that 90% of the audience doesn't give a poo poo about, and for the other 10% reading the spoilers just makes them want the game more. Good job

It's a pretty human thing, honestly. If a fictitious world matters to you because it's affected your life in some way, made you happy in a bad time or something, when something's injected into that setting it's natural to have objections to what matters to you being changed or challenged. The issue is that nerds with poor social skills or who place too much worth in fictional things tend to lose their objectivity and view things like video games and movies not as celebrations of the thing they love, but as violations. Cue freak outs. E: The devs have also, in fact, declared the game non-canon, so.

Star wars(and video games) got me through some dire loving times(was playing with action figures while hooked up to a ventilator) and i like the new canon just as much as old. i get why people get upset but some of the poo poo is just sad.
