[/quote] I played my first game today, and was made fun of in the lobby by two 10 year olds because I was only level one. I ended up making it until the final minute and was the second to last to die (and even managed to use Jason's mom's sweater to evade him one time), but it turned out both kids had teamed up beforehand, and according to chat, the one counselor kid had tried to kill a couple of the other players and refused to call the cops. The kid playing Jason had agreed to not kill his friend as long as he helped, but right at 5 seconds left the kid hit a bear trap and died anyway.

For me a lot of players are quiet enough that I set up a compressor to bring up quiet sounds and I have in game sounds - especially music - turned way down. The intros just mask everything but shouting.

Oh nice new content this weekend. I put a good 80 hours into this game playing it from launch but eventually it got kinda repetitive and I moved on, this will give me an excuse to pick it up again. Hows the meta in this game these days? My long term worry for the game was that it would eventually stop attracting new players when a group of super vets playing Jason just dominated everyone forever.

When I say the guy who run towards the other counselors I mean they're friends with whoever is playing jason and they team up to take everyone out and then make us sit there for 10 minutes while the mole counselor racks up points. I've seen it twice, maybe it's a PS4 thing. Trying to shake Jason by putting them on someone else isn't what I was referring too, and is of course perfectly acceptable.

I'm happy to have a new running Jason to use, I really can't handle the aggravation of using the ones that can't run. I don't even know that I kill less counselors, it's just very frustrating those times when I really could use the ability to run and I don't have it.

It seems like whenever someone is chasing me as Jason they catch me with no problem but when I am running with Jason I can't catch up even if they are out of stamina. Only played as a running Jason twice though and didn't make note of which counselor I was chasing.

Keep in mind that the map also matters. The small map variants, or compact maps with a lot of cabins in a small area and not a lot of long stretches, are way harder for Jason because counselors can hold onto their stamina longer and duck into a cabin when they run low. Regular Crystal Lake and the small versions of the other maps are a nightmare if you try to foot chase a fast counselor with high stamina like a Vanessa, where something like Higgins has two really long stretches where counselors have no place to run to when they're low on stamina.

The main reason I gave up the runner Jason's was because I love 8's destruction so much, so part 4 having destruction AND running is gonna be a grand time

Yeah, destruction is the best Jason ability. Nothing else really comes close. I'm actually of the opinion that it's a little too good, because it's almost like getting rage about 10 minutes early.

Yep, you can break into pretty much any cabin from both ends in under a minute and it's really useful. With Part 8 I'll spend downtime just wrecking a cabin I think is going to be a major choke point, both outer and inner doors. Like try door-blocking me in the long hallway cabin now, fuckers!

Me, I love getting lucky with a Morph-Shift against a pro team's car, then lucking into shutting the car down every. single. time that they try to get away. Also, push-to-talk causes your character to stop whatever they are doing and stand still. If you try to do anything, and I mean anything, while talking your mic will cut in an out and your character will keep stopping whatever they're doing every half second.

You could use a program to remap your keyboard, but it would probably need to edit your Registry so the anti cheat software won't freak out. That would mean you'd have to restart Windows every time you changed it.
