I love this! Sometimes you spend hours working on something that just looks terrible, and sometimes you spend 3 mins doodling and create High Art.

Aw, shucks.. Thank you! The quick doodles are a result of not being able to plant myself in front of the computer for more than half an hour at a time outside of work.. office job in mobile games puts me in front of so many monitors, I just don't wanna do that when I don't have to. My home Cintiq feels.. unbearable- an incredible first world problem to have. I have the option to poo poo out something in five mins or Never Finish big projects.

I did just get a company-sponsored iPad pro and pencil, so.. maybe I can work up my tolerance for digital screens again. Or actually open up a drat sketchbook for once..

I've drawn several of these comics, but they're all about depression and not very funny so I haven't posted any, but no-one got this so I think it's safe.

Basic round brush with softness, opacity and flow all the way down; original image was scanned, so line work was ball point pen. Photoshop's "multiply" feature handily is recreating my gimp process of layering the line work to improve contrast. Dress is a velvet texture swatch.

Same wrt to after effects; I'll check out aseprite, PS seems reasonable for throwing a quick gif together if you've already got the frames set up, but there's a definite lack of after the fact control. Most of my animation exp is with flash and some open source alts, but I'm looking for better options to just throw stuff together in a shorter time frame.

Someone requested I draw Fiora the Grand Duelist from league of legends, which I don't play and know nothing about, and the reference pic they showed was a torso contortion nightmare.
I wanted to draw her actually looking powerful.
