Apparently while Hugo Weaving still has another movie on contract, he really hated playing the Red Skull (the makeup's a bitch) and Marvel seems they don't want to burn that bridge.

I physically winced when CG Rachel spoke. It might look better than before but it still looks bad and disconcerting. It's probably the low point of the movie.

Yeah but they were going for hard mode there, making something looks like an actress from a movie nearly 40 years old. Making scary skull face man look convincing would probably be super easy, especially with the actual actor being there.

I've seen reviews saying that Thor: Ragnarok the "funniest Marvel movie" and that it pokes fun at the MCU. I don't think even GOTG did that second thing, so I'm interested to see what they mean. I'm also curious about how it would do box-office wise. Thor always seems like the least popular of the 3 main Avengers in the MCU. Both GOTG and Doctor Strange, movies that were not sequels, did better than Thor 2 which came out the same year Iron Man 3 rode the post-Avengers momentum to $1 billion worldwide. I rewatched the first JL trailer and noticed something I'd missed the first time. Someone says "No Lanterns. No Kryptonians...This world will fall." I didn't know they were acknowledging Green Lantern at all in this but it'd be cool if they worked him in somehow.
