I loosely recall some parents freaking out over the teased character design of an older Dora that they'd be oversexualising a child. Considering I think this was in the era when Bratz was still huge, they might have had a point.

Does Dora the Explorer still have the framing device of being 'set' in a computer game, with the mouse cursor occasionally appearing on screen to click on things? Makes me wonder if it's a logical progression from there to kids all watching Let's Plays instead of TV.

The Snowman was soooooooo loving boring. It was filmed/set in Norway, so there's a bunch of gorgeous scenery of a place that doesn't appear in many theatrically released movies in America, so that's cool, but really it's just a bland mystery movie with beautiful backdrops.
