And I was amused by "Republicans for Voldemort" bumper stickers like everyone else, but there are people who literally cannot grasp politics except through the lens of a fairy tale for children, as seen in cringe-inducing tweets and articles. Ironically, they tend to be the sort of Democratic voter who was just fine with all of America's dirty deeds until an obvious monster was elected. Not to mention the sort of centrist who is taken in by "Black Lives Matter and Standing Rock were Soviet psyops" because they are middle class liberals who don't actually believe in anything.

No, the real reason ASMR videos exist is so that after you doze off watching boring documentary clips from the 1970s, you will be awakened six hours later by someone eating ramen with their loving mouth open so you turn off YouTube and the ad placements don't lose value per impression.

All the Trumpmania reminds me of one thing, and one thing only. The Beast, from Transmetropolitan. And he wasn´t half as bad as the Smiler. Though it does remind me because of the way he is portrayed in the media nowadays. Fascinating how a lense works.

"JK Rowling is bad now" I feel is one of those things where she's got some legit awful problems in areas the mainstream left wouldn't normally give a poo poo about and is more or less because she is a woman who vocally dislikes [popular socialist politician].

He's right as one of the most vocal critics of Rowling's politics was the known man-beast Sam Kriss, whose vicious hatred of women, while only exposed now, was since long aimed at Rowling and great leading feminine leaders of Britain's left such as Theresa May, Margaret Thatcher and Queen Mary I.

I just dislike how she keeps trotting out little snippets of world building that don't add anything to the world and basically just answer fan questions, like the revelation that wizards never invented plumbing until long after normal people, they would just casually poo poo or piss where they were and magic the mess away. In more related stuff, I'm quite enjoying Pigsmoke for the writing and the type of game it wants to cultivate.

JK Rowling isn't on the level of Ursula Le Guin or Octavia Butler so she's bad since people chose to impose their world view on a mystery solving series made for children? She just seems like an average person, with middle of the road views but enough experience and foresight to see that a social safety net is a good thing for society regardless of your personal wealth and Brexit is bad.

Pigsmoke seems fun, and though I don't know if PbtA is the exact right system I think it works pretty well. It very much wants to replicate the Discworld Unseen Academy and I'm very much here for that.
