The Republicans impeaching Trump would be good because it would split up the base. The radicals can't survive without the moderates, though I'm sure I'd be proven wrong. Still, given all the idiotic poo poo he's done so far, Trump would have to accidentally nuke Florida or something to get impeached by them. Even then, they'd find a way to spin it as good for the country and accept Puerto Rico as the new 50th state as Florida would be sold to Mexico for cheap to pay for the wall.
