Had a nice lil leg day today. 30min cardio, then leg press machine for warm up, deadlift 405x8x3, machine leg curls, plate loaded leg press, smith machine front squats, and then some calves and abs. Trying to do exclusivly 8+ reps on complex movements, and 12+ on iso these days to start dropping weight. I hope to stop being a chubby boy one day.

Leg drive with bench has finally clicked for me, my friends. I mean it "worked" before but it was this deal where it just helped a little bit and was another cue to keep in my mind. However this time I went about it a bit different - I usually start with my feet on the bench and I lift my butt high in the air and drive my upper traps into the bench. Normally after this point I'd just put my feet on the ground and try to maintain it and I'd always lose a little tightness when I did this. This time I'd push on the bar, not enough to unrack it, but just enough to keep pressure on my traps while I set my feet. I tried putting my feet close together, just under or maybe a little bit behind me knees. The big difference this time is after I did it, I felt "locked in", it wasn't hard at all to maintain the tightness and when I'd push with my legs I'd actually feel my traps drive into the bench, rather than a backward slide.

They're more comfortable to me because my wrists arent about doing the typical way to hold the bar with the high elboww, so I gotta do the crossing the arms thing to hold the bar which kills my front delts if it is reg front squats.

You can also use straps to help out with the inflexible wrists. I use them anyway when I'm going heavy sometimes

I've been interacting with a guy at work who says he's a hardcore bodybuilder and a licensed personal trainer, and also says he works out 2 times a day and only uses small weights and tons of volume, and spends 200 euros per month on supplements. He does look like works out so not doubting that, but the way he describes it sounds nuts. Any comments?

I tried the bad girl machine for like 110x15 reps tonight and I got a cramp in my glute medius(?). I wonder if that means they are inactive or something. Who knows, but I had a good workout.
