B and C are nearly flawless. D has 3 good songs. F is way better than people think. G is half a great album and half an ok album. Ignore everything else.

Their discography has its peaks and valleys, but the only one you should definitely avoid is Illum Divinum Insanus.
Covenant is my favorite of the bunch:

Slaughter of the Bluegrass are extremely talented and I'm bummed that they stopped doing songs a few years ago. Their cover of Punish My Heaven was spectacular:

What counts as Dadprogrock now? I mean I'd assume Steven Wilson would be in there. Which reminds me his new album is so loving boring, Jesus Christ what a disappointment that was.

I'm finding two metal bands called Entheos. The Canadian band or the US one?

e: probably the US one, since wikipedia is telling me it's formed from ex members of the bands you mentioned.

I dunno, I know it when I see it. But I didn't see any shirts like that.

Anyway, :siren: Enslaved played Vetrarnótt. :siren: :siren: Then they almost ruined it by playing some garbage organ noodling over that sick-rear end tremolo riff. The keyboard guy could just go have a smoke or something, idgi

I only listen to their first two albums, but neo-nazis wouldn't make a song this triumphant about the fall of Berlin.

So when I said I wanted power metal, I meant that I want crushing, classic heavy metal about swords and monsters, not overproduced, whiny Evanescence clones.

Noble Beast is decent, though, as is Wuthering Heights. Giving Sabaton a spin now, but I have already seen them live and liked it. Thanks for the help!

In that case check out Demon Bitch, Eternal Champion, Legionnaire (the Finnish one), and someone already posted Visigoth

Gonna edit in some youtubes when I get back to my computer. I just want to stress the Demon Bitch rec. Sometimes I get a little stressed out thinking about how they're ever going to top that album :kiddo:

I don't think there's anything even vaguely nazi about Sabaton other than they have songs about ww2. Nazi bands aren't usually that tough to spot.

My husband has been out of town for the past week, so I spent a lot of time exploring new power metal bands that looked interesting.
I stumbled across Cain's Offering, which has Sonata Arctica's former guitarist, and it is amazing! I don't think there is a single bad song on the Stormcrow album.
