I've said that before about the tesla , and would not be surprised if in 10 years or less there is a law requiring electric cars to have some sort of noise maker attached

The thing is like a rocket ship on 4 wheels and makes no sound to alert anyone walking across the street , aside from whatever wheel and road noise

2) the first time a smug rear end in a top hat gets in his new tesla and it glitches out making random beep boop noises embarrassing him

For the cars I know, it's a speaker sounding like a turbine turned way down.
It also turns off at higher speeds.
