It’s like I don’t even want to bother seeing people even picking on it because these cipher things are so corny and dull. If you want to make a post, just make a post. Even if you had the most insider information that was literally whispered to you in confidence by Chris Roberts, nobody really cares. It’ll be funny to talk about and laugh at, but just get to the funny part quicker. Chances are high though that you’ve just ciphered something really dumb, and you’re waiting for your big “can’t believe you guys went so far to figure this out lol you’re pathetic”, and you can have it. But it’s so corny that I almost wish you’d just make your own thread with your super duper cipher game and go lord it over the one or two people who will care. Anyhow, that’s all all say and my useless opinion. Carry on!

https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/spectrum-dispatch/16270-Claiming-Space-The-Race-For-Land Claiming Space: The Race for Land blah blah blah blah Recently, there has been a major push to encourage the settlement and development of the Empire’s frontier. As part of this initiative, the PDB has been making additional parcels of land accessible to the public for purchase. It is believed by policymakers that as sectors become more developed, they likewise become more secure. Statistics from recent studies show that it is significantly harder for outlaws and Vanduul raiding parties to gain purchase in UEE-controlled systems when there are settlers and companies with vested interests in ensuring the protection of that territory. Combine this with Consolidated Outland’s recent introduction of a self-contained colonization platform, and many are expecting to see a new golden age of land development in the second half of the 30th century. https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/7el28z/claiming_space_the_race_for_land/ So... who called this first?

DLC purchases for real money, and in game ability to buy items (but not stuff being sold for real money). Moving a box. An FPS level with terrain. Um... ok. This stuff has definitely never been done before. I can’t wait until CIG makes these things possible for the first time ever.

Great post, friend! And fabulous self inspection too. Everybody here is just as bad as anybody else about going too far with Sandi and Chris. Although everybody also is quick to call out Derek here as well if he becomes especially churlish, as well as other goons. Every time I feel like maybe I’m maybe wrong about something for Chris or Sandi, something happens that reinforces my thoughts. However today, and for nearly a year, my only opinion of Sandi has been “fully disengaged”. I feel like she is only there to be in front of a camera and collect more money than she should ever be entitled to. Chris just continues to cock everything up, and continue to do everything he can to ensure a game is never actually built. I have this on pretty good authority given the current track record of nearly 6 years of full time international development and basically the equivalent of a few tech demos to show for it. I’ll always be glad to re-evaluate everybody once they prove me wrong though. I like to believe everybody has the potential to be good, honest people.

I mean, for a person buying this stuff, or bought one of those Hull ships with like a billionty googles of cargo space... what is the dream? It would probably take literally months to actually load one of those ships. What is their dream? What is the whale Star Citizen dream these days? Is it still to be Lord of New Eve, despite all the game mechanics showing them how they’re wrong? Even the dreams of crazy mechanics? Do people remember stuff like the repair scaffolds and combing different materials together to repair and reinforce your hull? Repair robots to do it for you? That huge mining ship that was like the Dead Space ship in size or something? All these dreams, like leaves in the wind.

Titanic, I take it you never played with Eve goons? The point isn't to partake in dumb mechanics that sperglords froth over. The point is to procedurally decimate any fragments of enjoyment that such players would get from stacking boxes hours on end. Imagine said sperglord builds a nice neat box fort to show off to all his friend. He happens to be streaming his box building escapades on twitch to his usual crowd of 4 people while giving them the step by step rundown of what he's building. Except today, he gets a fifth viewer... First, you start off slow. Offer some help moving boxes from a-b so sperg can focus on his cargobay fort. Maybe even make a suggestion or two to keep him from tunnel visioning on the precise measurements of the ramp into his fort (sperglords has ptsd from avocado testing). Once his box fort is done, offer praise and applause along with the two other viewers and bot. Make him feel good about himself and talk about how lucky he is to have such a great shop and box fort. Talk to him about always dreaming about having such a ship, but you only had a part time job at McDonald's so you were to RL poor to afford one.... Once you're on his ship, you open the hangar doors from the inside and a swarm of shittily equipped idiots appear that wreck the fort and steal all his crates... And then commissar the sperglord live on his own stream.
