Ularg posted:I still love to hear about the "What about the starving children" from people who don't really give a poo poo about starving children. Whenever people bring up starving children, I tell them I'm a foster dad, regularly volunteer at soup kitchens, and help when I can at the residence for foster children. Then I ask them what are they doing to help the starving children. I usually get either: A) No answer. B) A deflection. They don't actually give a gently caress about starving children, and when confronted by an agnostic socialist who actually acts more Christian than they do, they become very VERY uncomfortable.

Massachusetts is wildly better than Pittsburgh, but cost of living is so much more manageable there, though Amazon setting up shop would probably hurt that. Just imagine Boston's cost of living if the HQ2 comes here instead like Mayor Walsh wants it to

Now the people are starting to have realistic proportions and getting more detail in the faces and it sometimes looks kind of grotesque. Don't stop posting it, though.

People on the Internet get really mad when I say that Fahrenheit is unironically a better system for the primary temperature use-case in day-to-day life (describing how warm or cold it is outside) What does the boiling point of water have to do with choosing which jacket I'm going to wear today?

Metric replaces an intuitive system with an abstract one for people who don't know enough math to multiply by 12.
