Some of the comments are overly sexual and weird, and he’s upvoting them like crazy, delving into posts from months ago. Should I be concerned about this? By itself, it doesn’t sound like much. But he’s even had a history of listening to “girlfriend simulator” ASMR, and it makes me so insecure. If he wants to have a girlfriend saying sexy or sweet things in his ear, wouldn’t I be his first choice? Oddities like this have been going on for months. I’m not sure I can handle competing with fictional characters lol. He’ll even say goodnight to me on the phone (we’re long distance, so this is an everyday thing,) and say he’s going straight to bed so my face will be the last thing he sees, and not even a couple minutes later, he’s obsessively upvoting and saving things from this video game (and of course his sissy porn.) A picture of us was his phone background, and he even changed that out with one of the video game’s female characters, the one he sexualizes the most. He’ll save particular images of the character that come with captions that say things like “look at this gentle and perfect face, how could you not want to protect her and love her? Look into her eyes.” and it’s SO creepy. It’s not like him to be SO obsessed with something like this. He doesn’t even watch anime haha. I know I must sound like an incredibly jealous girlfriend, but understand that I’ve been struggling with receiving attention and validation from him for awhile now, and I’m kind of on the tipping point of it all. And I have tried to talk to him about it, and he just laughs it off and tells me there’s nothing to worry about. I just don’t think I can make him happy.

TL;DR: boyfriend is creepily obsessed with new video game and sexualizing its characters, and months of weird habits make me feel ignored and unwanted.

This might be stupid and a total waste of time but I figured I'd ask anyway.

So I've worked at this company for about 6 months now, and the christmas party is coming up next week.

A bunch of calendar invites went around for people to RSVP to, and naturally I didn't get it (I didn't think it was weird because I'm part of a different mailing list for my team & it's a whole other situation)

Anyway I inquired further and long story short the girl at HR gave me some talk about how they can't insure us (contract/temp) workers at this place because we're not on their payroll and we're part of an agency, so we can't go or whatever.

I asked her why was this not an issue for the summer party (which I was at) and she said "Technically you shouldn't have been allowed there, the same goes for staff meetings" (Which I've also been in)

What annoys me the most is that I'd already bought some stuff from back home (the UK) and got it shipped to Canada for the purpose of this event, and neither the company nor the agency at any point informed us that we wouldn't be able to go to this event.

So I'm essentially out of pocket on those items, which presumably I can't bill to anyone because they'll tell me to get lost & people are pissed off in the office because I can't go.

Anyway, is there anything that can be done about this? about the money I already spent? Or about meetings/a party I already attended when they're only now telling me they don't insure me? Or about the upcoming event?

I thought about going to the event space anyway if they don't rent out the entire building ( which I don't think they will) just to be somewhat there and then telling them to f*ck off in the New Year and leaving them seen as there's only 6 months left on my contract and it'd take them 6 months to retrain someone new.

I'm salty about it for sure, but If I can do anything about it other than "suck it up" then I'm all ears!
