On defense, a defensive line, the linebackers to get their act together. On offense, a running game. Special teams are good.

Possibly a new coach.

This is pretty spot on. More specifically, need a pass rush on defense. On Offense we need a coaching overhaul. New coaching on the O Line and a running game specialist.

I'm actually a little disappointed we beat Chicago. Just because every win from here on out increases the likelihood of retaining Caldwell.

I would imagine that Trubisky will be fine once Fox is gone and the front office understands that you need more than a bunch of dudes who answered a Craigslist ad to make up their WR corps.

The Bears WR corps is to WR’s like the Lions RB corps is to RB’s.

Theo Riddick may be a better WR than most of the Bears WRs but he's definitely not a better RB. :v:

Exactly. We have arguably the worst defense in the league and it's debilitating. Even something near league average and this team could probably have more rings for Rodgers.

Still, it ain't hard at all to be a Packer fan. It was in the days before Favre. :corsair:

Winning the division, winning a playoff game.

Exactly how I feel. A league average defense and the Packers at least get another trip to the Super Bowl or two.

I have to assume the Front Office and Fat Mike are assuming it's the players' fault and not Capers and his coaching staff due to the success of 2010, but that makes no sense when someone like Casey Hayward goes from "just-a-guy" to Pro Bowl a year after leaving your team.

In retrospect, it seems more like the success of 2010 is due to guys like Charles Woodson (an all-time great) and Nick Collins covering up for Dom's deficiencies. Yeah, Dom will do great when you have a CB who was so good he won the loving Heisman, etc., but take away THAT and the Jenga tower falls apart.

It wasn't just those two either. Clay, Raji, Tramon Williams and Cullen Jenkins had an incredible year, Sam Shields was a rookie but he caught on as the season went on. After seven years of evidence has piled up, it truly feels like that defense was more about incredible individual performances than Dom Capers.

Eh, I've seen enough droughts end in recent memory (Rangers, Wings, Red Sox, White Sox, SF Giants, Cavs, Cubs etc) to not be shocked when it does happens. If the Lions can win 2 out of 3 in Lambeau they can win a Super Bowl.

Not, like, this particular team, but in general I mean, if they get that one perfect season where nobody gets hurt, and they all play up to their potential.

Good plan. Hell of a plan. Yup. Loving this plan.

I mean, y'know, let him live his life. If he wants to go out and party on a Saturday night, let him. And if he wants to invite another QB, maybe one named Matt, but not one who was born in February, and just get completely hosed up, hey, who are we to judge.

Another reason why people get pissed off with Packers fans is while we discuss how our teams might achieve things like "the playoffs" or "a winning season" they're busy handwringing about how many rings Rodgers could have had if only the defense was league average :argh:

Yeah, but that year offense was more the problem than defense, as bizarre as that sounds. Rodgers was out with the concussion, and we scored like, exactly one (1) field goal against the Lions and lost 7-3. Hell, he was perfectly healthy when we scored exactly 9 points against the Jets. But the defense didn't give up anything, so it didn't matter. During the 2010 season the Packers were never down by more than 7 points. Hell, Matt loving Flynn would have beaten the Patriots in Foxboro if it wasn't for a 71 yard kick return by a goddamn backup offensive guard. That poo poo still boggles my goddamn mind.

e: Watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABcooDMRRD8 I mean, what the gently caress? Even Al and Chris were laughing their asses off in the booth.

The *really bad* part though, was the two straight overtime losses against the Redskins/Dolphins and that loving screwjob in Atlanta when Tony G was given a catch that absolutely wasn't. After that horse poo poo game I was absolutely ecstatic when the Packers went back and shithoused the Falcons in the playoffs.

Rodgers, Brady, Big Ben, maybe Flacco.

There, better QBs. They exist, but you gotta find him first. Problem is, are you going to let Stafford walk to draft a potential lottery ticket or are you going lock him down? Or are you going to try your hand on a FA back up that is also an unknown. No one saw Brady exploding but here we are.

Rodgers, Brady, Brees, Ben, Rivers, Wilson are all head and shoulders above him. Probably Wentz and Watson but they need to prove it longer. Cam, Cousins, Goff and Keenum are all around Stafford's level too.

The top of the NFL has barely changed over the years, it's pretty much just Wilson replacing Manning and Romo and that's it. Rivers, Ben, Brady, Brees have been around loving forever.
