That's because it's not permanent as it will deactivate when leaving the thread view or get reset when the app is closed by the user or system. Which should prevent the exact problem you had.

Pages get cached for a week, so if you page through and let each one load, you'll be able to view those pages offline I think the reason we don't have an automated 'cache all pages pls' option is that lowtax doesn't like that kind of behaviour? Sereri knows what's up

You have to actually let the page load - if it's still going when you skip to the next page, the first load gets cancelled. Once you see the text change, it should be done (but images and whatever might not have loaded into the webview cache, I don't think that should cause problems though) It used to let you skip through billions of pages and have them all load at the same time, but that caused issues like people getting mysteriously logged out

I just keep getting "loading failed" on everything and I suspect it's because Cloudflare is giving it a capcha page like it did me on Chrome just now. Being in the Philippines, I think the IP address I've been assigned is flagged for suspicious activity, so it'll serve me the check. Is there a fix or workaround for this? I already tried just solving the capcha on Chrome, and that doesn't work.

I'm not sure to be honest - right now we don't have a way to handle that kind of thing, and it's hard to develop it when you're not seeing those errors Turning your router off for a few minutes might get you a new IP, that's all I can think of for a workaround right now

Over int he phone thread we where talking about those Nougat quick menus that come up when you long press on the icon and it occurred to me that it would be nice if Awful had a shortcut to launch to the bookmarks in there. Also in the discussion was how no one knows about them so maybe it's not worth doing.

I have a confusing bug. There is one thread in my bookmarks that constantly shows that there is one unread post but when going to the thread there's nothing new. This is the thread: https://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3601247&pagenumber=113&perpage=40 It was doing it last night, then it got 5 new posts today, showed 5 on the bookmarks, went there, went back to bookmarks, it shows no new posts, refresh bookmarks, it says 1 new post, go to thread, no new posts. There was a thing where some threads wouldn't show the first post on a new page, but the list said it was there and had all the details. The thread snipes were getting sniped from the post depository Then later ZDR's posts became black holes and ate the threads they lived in. Refugees set up new threads but brave posters still stalk the old ruins
