Speaking of this, Air Canada runs flight AC557 and AC577 from LAX to YVR that take off within an hour of each other usually with gates next door to each other.

Its really loving confusing to me and I fly a ton.

My favourite is when you get something like fin 333 is on flight 332 and dispatch calls and says 332 wants to talk to you on Regina PAL and fin 332 is in Regina or something and you're like who shot who in the what now?

US Airways had retro liveries for all of the airlines they absorbed over the years. I guess American kept it all going when they bought US Airways.

But then that means that this is the most sad retro livery:

Yeah apparently it's some sort of promotion where American's painted retro liveries on some of their planes.

I saw one of these in San Diego. It's...man, the cold war. Hell of a thing. It's deceptive because they've got it mounted on a pedestal outside the museum and so you don't necessarily see the skis right away. But then you do, and the questions set in, like "who? Why? Why? WHY?"

still pretty awesome though

Pretty awesome, but rather overshadowed by the A-12 on the other pedestal...

I had stayed late at work to move his badges 1/8" to the left and pointed it out this morning. 1SG spanked me while the CO watched, once they caught it. Tomorrow I get to start all over again...

Makes sense, especially if dumping bombs and fuel. Hell, they teach that in whitewater rafting.

I know the president often takes credit for things that are only tangentially related to the office at all, but this one seemed particularly odd:

Maybe he should glance a look at military aviation. I don't know about AF/USA but it was not a fun year for naval aviation.

I mean if you can use artillery instead of an air strike you really should. Those planes can only hold so many bombs and someone not in range of artillery might need them soon.
