I can't say if it denied us a Labour government but the constant sniping of Corbyn in backdoor leaks to the press and other undermining efforts certainly led to over a year of "LABOUR SHAMBLES UNELECTABLE HOMOSEXUAL CORBYN FUCKS UP AGAIN" as the daily headlines Corbyn was polling nuclear dogshit when the election was called

tbf I don't reckon we'd have got that early election without the tories thinking it was a slamdunk and trying to put the boot in thanks to his poo poo standing in the polls.

Big part of the reason his rating in the polls was so low was that he genuinely was poo poo and timid about fighting for many of the things he ought to have been strongest on. The time the Labour shadow cabinet proclaimed itself to be too busy to go stand with some striking train workers sticks in my mind.Yinlock posted:i liked him getting mad about clegg losing

I think i realised it was going to be somewhat interesting when our local communist parties around here all withdrew their candidates and asked us to vote labour. To be fair there's about 11 different parties so they saved me a headache picking one of them.

My ex-Militant uncle was in some sort of leadership position, but he's now gone back to the Labour Party. From which he's still technically banned, but no one has said anything yet.
