Edit your UI through the in-game interface editor. As mentioned there are some limitations on the number of bars you can have based on subscription status. Preferred status get 4 out of the full 6, in practice that's more than enough unless you're being excessively fancy with setting up an action priority queue HUD.

Depending on your status (F2P, Preferred, Sub) you can have from 2 up to 6 Toolbars, and they can be shrunken/hidden.

I think you have to enable them in the Interface Editor as well.

I can honestly say SWTOR has the best "dress-up" system of any MMO I have played. WoW's is absolute garbage. Been playing ESO lately and its cosmetic gear is meh... got it's pros and cons. Better dye system, but otherwise mostly inferior.

SWG begs to differ. The only thing that consumed more of my time than playing dress up for a bunch of characters as Tailor was decorating my houses.

I might buy a Hypercrate and flip it on the GTN if you need credits, don't buy it expecting to get great things from it. :)

There are a lot of perks you can get that make the game easier, more worth it than a Hypergate.

They took a hard crash when they started being included with CXP packs, and the ones from the command token vendor went from limited to Tier 2 to no limit.

I agree that one lightsaber looks cooler. Leveling is piss easy in this game as long as you set your companion on heals. I also highly recommend engaging with the PvP, its good exp and I think its a lot of fun. Tanks and healers tend to perform better in PvP, where outlasting your opponent is key.

Ainsley McTree

For leveling, you can do whatever the hell you want at this point in the game's cycle. All companions can be set to heal mode and as long as you aren't trying to punch 10 levels above your weight or pull entire maps, you will never die. Tank is fine for this, the DPS specs for juggernaut are also perfectly viable. Just do what looks cool

slicing is a low effort profession. You find Boxes in the wild, you click on them, they give you money, you don't have to sell anything. I don't know how much money you get out of its mission skills at this point in the game, but there used to be money in that, too

It's been a really long time since I mentioned this... speaking of companions healing...

The best move you can make with a healing companion in this game is to toggle off their channeled crowd control stun thing immediately. They all have one, and it's never useful. It's just time and energy they don't spend healing you or fighting, and they're not very smart about picking targets, and in some cases it can end up mucking up your strategy.

Usually doesn't matter these days since companions are overpowered and everything is pretty easy, but if you're doing anything challenging with your companion out, their wasted effort with that stun can really slow you down.

I think tonight I'm gonna try and take advantage of the double valor for as many hours as I can stay awake, since Valor 80-100 achievements are some of the few I don't have (downside to playing alts instead of focusing, I have about 12 characters at Valor 60).

Would be cool to have some goon PvP fun, where I can angrily yell into Discord "STOP THE loving CAP" rather than just yelling into a screen.

That's impressive. Of course since all Yavin records are wiped clean every match it's gone forever. :)

Goon PvP was fun last night! We won most of our matches until Turbl left us, and then we did okay for a few. Particularly impressive was the arena where 3 goons died and one brave Operative had to 2 on 1 a remaining tank and DPS. Fortunately the tank was really bad. :)

I started some pvp matches for the first time in a long time in SWTOR, and I like how my shadow gets close to a sniper and then they roll away while rooting me and dropping a fire bomb. I get out of it and catch back up to them and they roll away and leave behind another fire bomb. I take it melee just shouldn't bother with them?

Yes Sniper is a hard counter to Sins and Juggs. DPS Sins rely on CC which a smart Sniper is immune to the majority of time, Snipers do a lot of weapon damage that'll bypass your best DCD in Shroud, and they can spam roots/slows faster than you can counter, especially Engineering which is the spec you're describing.

A good Fury Mara will eat a Sniper alive.

Snipers are in such a really good position in PvP right now. Their cover immunity utilities are frustrating as hell. Which is good I suppose, since they had a good long stretch of shittiness.

Snipers are a tactical AC that requires tactics to beat. Unfortunately most DPS are face-tanking tunneling baddies who think running in a straight line towards a Sniper is a viable strategy.

Snipers do have their weakness though...no real self-heals and lots of casts. DoT 'em up and go hide. Madness, IO, and Lethality are hard counters. On my Corruption Sorc I always cast Affliction on any and all Snipers on the opposing team. They're relatively immobile as well so they can be separated out fairly easily.

I've put together a list of all the short stories and story-like blogs that have been posted on the main SWTOR site. For those who don't know, the SWTOR writers sometimes write little short stories that serve as flavor for current or upcoming content and post them on the main site. The problem is that as far as I know there's no specific place on their site to go back and read them all at, you have to sift through all the other news posts to find them. So I made a list containing the links to them since I think a lot of them are pretty cool and newer players might not have seen them.

I've split them into 3 categories: Companion articles, which include little developer blogs about all of the classes first companions (minus Qyzen and Khem Val) and the blogs about the GSF companions. Then the main short stories. Then what I consider to be summaries or informational blogs that are written in an in-character way.
