Anyone order from Discount Games Store in the last little while?

I put in an order Dec 2 for some stuff and it still hasn't shipped. First it was no news for two weeks, then it was "waiting for a restock", then it was a shipping notification and tracking number but it didn't actually ship, then a second shipping notification and tracking number, but now "waiting for restock but should be going out today".

I haven't ordered from them recently, but always had good experiences in the past. Should I be worried?

They can definitely be glacially slow sometimes. Either because their inventory tracking isn't great and it can take a while for a restock order to go through or they just tend to drag their heels. It doesn't help they'll generate a shipping label and then sit it on it for a while. I've even had to go the Ebay refund route when they gave me a bit the runaround on 'oh, we're expecting more to come in tomorrow' to no avail three days later. Ended up receiving what I'd ordered and a few extras thrown in, but still best tread cautiously.

Don’t really seem to be able to find those on eBay so I’m thinking of converting one of the cannons with a couple of termagant devourer barrels, and then maybe trying to put something together for the MRCs involving carving up the Swarmlord bone sabres and maybe some of the claws from stealers. Either that or just straight up using Warriors RCs since I’ll be going bonesword and deathspitters on those.

I don't have the exact post, but it was even slightly more disheartening. The guy was buying a ton of plastic with a kid in tow and mentioned he'd have money left over because of some sale and the kid spoke up and asked if this meant he could afford juice. The kid was so used to having spacemen prioritized over them and aware of their grinding grimdark poverty that they longed for deathJuicy Juice. :smith:

Just to add, he was the type of guy who has to play the hot new army and would buy it and then sell it when the next new hot army came out. His old, barely played army sold on consignment and the above situation happened.

There’s currently no model for it so it won’t be in the Codex unless they release a model for it as part of a rumoured three way Armageddon campaign this summer (massive pinch of salt suggested)

How do you build a Kult of Speed list, then? Lots of Trukks, and fill them with infantry?

By the way has mob up gotten much use? Seemed like it'd be good for maintaining that extra attack on boyz but I've yet to see orks in action since chapter approved.

First two don’t have model support (just Forgeworld)- I’d be wary of building an army around them since they may not be in the Codex. The answer is always more Boyz and Storm Boyz. I’d hold off until the Codex before going down any specialist build routes. It’s not a cheap army to find you’re now sitting on a bunch of stuff that doesn’t work well together.

I haven't played a game with them yet, but it seems like a fairly powerful effect that would require some maneuvering.

As an Ork player I consider "no model support" to be a perk. If they're not in the Codex you can still use the Index, and having that flexibility is really helpful.

So I have a bit of a political question here. Is the pickelhaube (the silly point-top cavalry helmet worn by Germans) generally considered to be problematic?

Because these are grimdark as fuuuuuck but if they're going to be Stahlhelm II: Electric Boogaloo then it's, you know, not great?
