I read Dune recently and loved it but couldn't tell you a single thing I liked about it, it was weird. The book managed to staple together a bunch of things I didn't like and turn it into something I did Then I got halfway through Dune Messiah which didn't have whatever witchcraft made the first one work so I stopped reading
