I'm glad that Ball (1) isn't the GM but (2) is still going to be around for cap handling, but drat, I wanted it to be Wolf. I have no reason to want that over this outcome except ~~~The Wolf Legacy~~~ and ~~~Boy Genius GM~~~ narratives, I guess. It really sucks that we lost Highsmith; I hope Wolf stays.

I was rooting for Wolf to get the job because ~narratives~ as well and I think he'll bolt for the next GM opening elsewhere but I think Gutekunst is a smart hire and I hope cap guru Ball sticks around Apparently Gute was McCarthy's preference for the GM job
