I worked with a guy in the animation business ... told me this story from way back in the Frank Sinatra/Bobby-Sox's day. Sinatra had this show in a theater in NYC (I gather the New York's Paramount theatre). The story is they had to clean the seats after the shows from the excited girls. This also happened: https://www.theguardian.com/music/2011/jun/11/frank-sinatra-pop-star VideoGameVet fucked around with this message at 17:16 on Jan 22, 2018 |

Samurai Sanders posted:The contradiction I keep hearing from a Texan friend about everyone she knew growing up was "people are living day to day and have no time or energy to think about the world outside of their family and friends" and "they vote aggressively to gently caress over things and people far distant from them". I don't think that's really a contradiction. It doesn't take that long to vote (especially if no one's trying to suppress your demographic group's voting), but it takes more time to learn about the issues and vote intelligently. If you see it as your duty to show up every couple years and hit the straight "R" button, you don't need to take the time to learn about the impact your vote has. Oh, please, Melania knew adultery came with the marriage.

It ostensibly details FISA court surveillance 'abuses' against the Trump campaign. Most likely, FISA granted surveillance warrants against the Trump campaign based on Steele dossier info or similar. It's not like it's hard to get a FISA warrant.

Note to self: "Shumer" replaces "Juman" (pronounced "Jewmon") instead just of the much better "Shumanji" which still gets the point across but reads better and fits the pun better. A GOP congressman demanded an independent accounting, after which it turned out the whole thing was made up. The whole point is not to have something, it's to LOOK LIKE they have something. The whole thing is pointless and they know it but the optics of "We're still looking into Benghazi because OF QUESTIONS!!" hurts Hillary's numbers and...wait hold on...another thing? Ok sorry, my bad: the whole POINT is that they start shouting "FIRE! FIRE!" and have their people start screaming about smoke, their people KNOW there's no fire but they can reasonably doubt it away (or just ignore it when it turns out to be nothing) it is just despicable that a small, already investigated issue such as classified emails could cause such ruckus with nothing but rumors and innuend-oh? What? Oh is it O'Keefe again? No? poo poo.
