For double bhp+hp combos though, those are true 1 frame links because letting go of the charge doesn't work with the frame buffer. I included the slightly less damage but much easier combos in the vid for that reason.

Yeah I'll probably just have to use those. As someone who does links with Slayer in GG it feels odd to fumble with Abigail combos. I knew you could make abigails throws throw-immune but I didn't know that worked with other specials, EX punches seems rad if it can armor through moves while cleanly beating throws.

Happy to report that Vega can’t do poo poo with his vertical sky flip thing against Chun Li. The improvements to b+HK means they’ll get knocked out of the sky no matter if they try to cross you up with it or not

That hasn't been a viable strategy since Super Turbo. Every character has a button that beats that, and most can make you pay super hard.

jesus christ, I tried playing the other night and this game is drat near unplayable. It's gotta be something wrong on my end, right? I'm not on wifi or anything, maybe my Internet blows. I played some people on a setup in my local arcade the other night and the difference is like night and day.

So the problem is that your end doesn't have problems. Maybe try and create some. Try torrenting porn or something.

I have a PC and good connection and the vast majority of my games are fine. Not to say that isn't the cause or that I don't occasionally have problems but the actual answer feels more complicated than that.

Apparently on PS4 you can just plug in any old device into the usb and it will cause a desync. Like your phone or whatever. Good stuff. I hope you PS4 users are taking advantage of this.

Your own client can keep itself up to date. The bottleneck in peer to peer matches is always from the player with the worse connection to the one with the better one. Your client keeps theirs up to date much more consistently, whereas it doesn't matter how good your computer is if their connection to you is dropping data.

Another example of that is in Splatoon 2, which is all peer to peer. If I play on a wired connection the lag I experience is about 4x worse than if I play over WiFi.

Does the PS4 pro also drop frames or is it just the vanilla PS4 that has the problem? I play on wifi and rarely get lag, I do get a few players drop but I just figured that was because I play Mika and Abigail.

I'm starting to get the hang of her but I don't know I keep picking characters with awful anti-air options. Also it would be great if Capcom did matchmaking like Tekken, when if I am starting a new character I get lumped into queue with other people relatively new (or really bad) with their characters. Last night and today I was casual queuing with an apparent endless sea of level 50000 Ryu players for some reason. It would be more fun if I could learn Kolin against some guy who was learning Gief or something like that.
