I just wanted to say the "Estimated Total Progress on Major Features" is just an estimate on the major features. If you tried to put a number on the percent completed for all expectations, it would be less. Probably much less, like 10% or lower.

THE TRIAL Good morning, Judge, your honour. Crytek will plainly show Chris Roberts who now stands before you Was caught red-handed selling spaceships. Selling spaceships of a high-fidelitous nature; This will not do. (call the warlord) I always said I'd totally call it In my July blog post. If they'd let me loving finish I'd have burned it down, the end. But my hands were tired from all the tweeting and the blogging. Roberts got away with millions, Let me revisit how this all started (not MY choice, but now it's war) back in 2015, when their bullshit refund (bad move) closed my account without my having asked for <...4230 words deleted...> Spaceships, Gullible nerds will buy spaceships, We're going whaling. We keep pretending we're writing a game. Spaceships, gullible nerds will buy spaceships. (call the wife) You little poo poo you're in it now, I hope they throw away the key. You should have put my name ahead of Gary O, but no! You had to take forever, now they'll never see my A-list acting. Vic's Mom is beneath my station, Wait, where'd that scene go?!? (call the master of ships) Baaaaaaaaaabe! Come to Benny, baby, let me hold you In my arms. M'lud I only wanted him to remake Wing Commander. Why'd he ban me from the building? Judge, your honor, let me feel his hair. Spaceships, Millions of dollars of spaceships, tanks, bikes and land plots. We even made a door for the cafe, which looked like a... spaceship, gullible nerds will buy spaceships. (the judge) The ownage from this Ortwin guy is incontrovertible, there's no need to hear arguments at all. In all my years of judging I have never heard before a smackdown so amazing it transcends the rule of law. The way you rekt the critics, with your canny analytics, Fills me with the urge to buy an Idris! Since, Cry-REKT, you're a bunch of no-good geeks, I sentence you to watch an episode of Bugsmashers every week! TEAR DOWN THE CODE! TEAR DOWN THE CODE! TEAR DOWN THE CODE! TEAR DOWN THE CODE!

It's not as good as backers expected, and it's causing some hilarity as people deal with the reality. I dunno, Steam seems fairly positive so far. See everyone. Star Citizen has a huge amount of content. You can make lovely youtube videos focusing on the pointless cosmetic for the overly invested. That's gameplay people.

Another peak example of why I hate Star Citizen fans. Regarding the beautiful forests in Kingdom Come Deliverance: They did the same with the Nemesis system from Mordor. Chris Roberts says "Oh we'll have that but it'll be even better" without any concept or thought into what it involves or the amount of work the programmers and designers went in to making it and balancing it...No, just a simple thing for the fans to go "Oh we'll have this as well!". Cut my life into pieces.

Bugs are ok if the dev honestly recognizes and manages the consequences of them. Big single player games will never be bug free because they don't have to be. Consider the case: Your ship glitches into the ground and explodes. Kerbal Space Program: I reload a quicksave I made 30 seconds earlier. If it happens again, I feel justified using a cheat to complete the mission. Fallout 4: The ship is stuck under the ground and you can no longer complete the quest. You reload a quicksave and try again. If the quest still breaks, you shrug and play one of the other 1000 quests in the game. If the quest reward was good, you equip it with a console command. Star Citizen: Your ship is gone and cannot be respawned for some time. Your cargo is gone and not refunded. You lost items that you bought with real money. You die and wake up in the wankpod room. The door is bugged and won't open. You relog and try again, after going to the RSI website to buy another ship to circumvent the insurance timer. Next time you visit the planet, you make sure to park your ship hovering upside-down to avoid the bug. It will take hours or days to recoup the resources lost. Eve Online: The ship collision system is ultra-simple, and you can't land on planets at all (Can you? I don't play). The devs accept that bugs in a persistent multiplayer game are cancer so they wisely avoid them in the design.

As hilarious as it would be for this to go up in flames, it will be even more amusing when the poo poo game is released and backers are grudging their way through horrible mechanics, only to have a swarm of goons come blow up their ship and capture them and keep them in a cage for days of real time (lol thats how they want that to work right?) I mean we could even start griefing the poo poo out of them now by You must have a Platinum Account to view this message. but it would take some serious masochism to even want to download and suffer through that to farm some tears.

It wasn't until years later in 2001 that they bothered to clarify/retract that bullshit. Of course Ryan Brant (then creator/CEO of TT), who rushed the game to market because TT needed the revenue as they were going public (unknown to us at the time), went on to become a convicted felon. ----------------
