Nah I've seen something like this. I watched a guy at a pool party chug a fifth of wild turkey like it was iced tea. He made it around to the side of the pool and fell directly onto his face. Didn't try to catch himself or anything. First thing that came out from under his face was blood, then wild turkey vomit. Amazing times.

In my 20s I was dared to chug a bottle of whiskey to the label, which I thought was lame so chugged the the bottom of the label, then not happy with the lack of applause, chugged the vodka next to it the same way. I was fine for maybe 10 minutes.

Then starts a big STDH.txt story that actually did.

My best friend and I had a race to see who could finish a bottle of Jack Daniels the quickest once. He slammed the whole drat thing in like 10 minutes. The rest of the night was split between him throwing up, me trying to convince the rest of the party we didn't need to call 911, and him drunkenly trying to propose to his girlfriend.

They actually did get married, but not because of or even remotely after that.

I got rid of it a while ago but they took away the curated 3rd party app playlists that used to exist, they removed some playback queueing functions, they introduced bugs that required the program to be completely reinstalled (for whatever reason) basically weekly, I think the final straw is some update nuked my whole music organization. The app also had major performance issues and would emit a piercing scream noise from time to time when I ran matlab.

Edit:
My guess is they were focusing of developing the mobile app at the pc version couldn't keep up.

You can't natively if you're on Android. It's stupid. Managr for Spotify is the app you want. It's marginally inconvenient to switch between the 2 apps, but it works.

I use the desktop app daily and has noticed none of these issues (I don't use 3rd party playlists though). I also use it at the same time as Matlab sometimes. Sounds like an issue at your end tbh.

Well, they did recently have an issue with admin access that got fixed after 4th time somebody complained that it still doesn't work as expected (2 times when putting empty string gave you access, 1 time when clicking to change something requiring access didn't actually prompt for admin password, 1 time when putting empty string in that prompt gave you access). I think people aren't really interested in such screwups (or at least - are willing to forgive Apple quite easily for some reason)

I'm more worried about this: https://krausefx.com/blog/mac-privacy-sandboxed-mac-apps-can-take-screenshots (apparently any app can make a screenshot of your screen at any point)

On the first point, I just don't expect better from any company. The only bright side is Apple pushes patches to all their poo poo as long as it's any form of supported. And that's a really god-damned dim bright.

That link though, is loving horrifying.

Unicode is super complicated with a ton of edge-cases & OS vendors like to put the decoding/rendering as deep in the system as possible to make it speedy.

Microsoft did the same thing with font rendering in the kernel and had similar problems iirc.

Still it is fun to laugh at fanboys of any flavor who have historically poo poo on people who use different devices as if they themselves were somehow responsible for their phone's superior security.

Back when he was volunteering for Ron Paul in the US he learned to only use apple products since they have the best privacy track record.

99% ethanol is either mixed with dessicants or distilled by a method that leaves traces of really nasty organic solvents like benzene.
