If a skeezy 30-something pulls somebody into a lovely relationship when they're 18 or 19, hopefully, the teenager gets out and learns not to do that again. For those that don't, there's always the collective wisdom of /r/relationships to appeal to. The brain is still cooking, so painful lessons will stick very well and are the exact things that allow them to hone a sense of consequence beyond the immediate.

I went to a relevant meetup in San Francisco and there was a really wealthy gay guy in his late 40s dating a really attractive gay guy in his early 20s According to this thread that's abuse / exploitation but I don't agree, I think adults can do what they want in their life, and coming up with weird pseudo rules about like "Well you're 18 but you're not making good choices by doing stuff I wouldn't" is really dumb and controlling Like at what point do people just get to be people and do what they want to do? What a bizarre way of thinking  Anyway I get a bit tired of the endless moralizing of other people's relationships but I get that many people here believe in these super rigid / uptight rules about acceptable age ranges so my point of view is not the representative one.
