I wouldn't be surprised at all but you know how this type of news subsists on rumor mills. it's a really charming and silly show but the production is so scattered. for example, episode 7 credits one animation director. on the director's twitter they said they were only given about 20 cuts to correct and they're wondering where all the rest of the cuts went.  in the bottom one they're like, "am i really the only one? did everyone else excuse themselves?? this is possibly the dorkiest show I've ever watched. so honestly, even when things are off-model it's endearing.

for example, last week's ep introduces us to the russian team, who's set to face the japanese (main chars') team in the upcoming battle. the episode opens up with an 'ominous' mood (one of the girls is scratching her head with her foot) where the russian commander is like "drat, the enemy looks strong. we've got no choice but to use.... this." [pulls out a mysterious vial] "any objections, comrades?" and the other girls gravely go "no objections." you see the russian leader in the bushes looking through binoculars in a scene where the main character downs a glass of milk and the other japanese girls are at a table drinking from mugs. so you're thinking the drinks are spiked, right? then the shot returns to the ruskie girl who is in a tree with the rest of her team. she goes, "why... why aren't they getting sick?? I thought 90% of asians lacked the enzymes to digest milk!" and reveals the vial was actually just medicine because they felt guilty about making their opponents too sick to fight. so, they move onto plan b. https://my.mixtape.moe/ifints.webm the whole show is level of dorkiness. i love it

My hopes for it are subterranean, but any world that says More Legend of the Galactic Heroes needs to be made is a good one and whatever, it won't obliterate the original upon release, so there is literally no problem here. They made Kircheis and his curly hair look like garbage tho ill still watch it
