That's the point, they're saying they'd rather wear a shirt for a band whose music they really don't like then a shirt for Burzum.

Actually the point I was making is I'd rather be made fun of for wearing a shirt for a band I enjoy that everyone shits on than wear a shirt synonymous with Nazis despite liking the music.

Yes, I like Deafheaven.

Deafheaven are a good band who became divisive because of hyperbolic music writers who listen 3 metal albums a year at most. They're particularly good if you like the early 2000s screamo they're influenced by.

Also New Bermuda is better than Sunbather and Bosse-de-Nage is a better band in the same scene.

Deafheaven is fine but after the Sunbather hype died I couldn’t get excited about them. New Bermuda never pulled me in.

Hah! Messiah Force, Agent Steel's Canadian brothers. I love this type of stuff.

For those that may not be familiar with Denmark's best kept (worst dressed) secret, I present Randy. Yes, a porntache was a prerequisite for this band.

Blue Oyster Cult are touring near me and they charged $75 a ticket (before fees). This wasn't even on ticketmaster, this was face value direct from the venue. I don't know about you guys but they aren't $75 a ticket good.

Edit: I meant to post this in the stoner/doom thread and accidentally posted it here, which is why it seems like a non-sequitor

$75 seems like a lot. I paid like €30 to see them about 2 years ago. They were pretty good then, despite having their lost their guitars on the short plane trip from Germany to Denmark, so they were playing on borrowed gear.

I liked whoever the new drummer was, he really gave 100% for the entire concert.

What's also bizzare is the venue they're playing is incredibly small...I mean I don't know how popular they are but its definitely a sub 200 person venue.

Since we're talking about hard rock, Tanith is a cool new band featuring Russ Tippins of Satan. A good take on late 70s hard rock mixed with that rocking early NWOBHM movement stuff where they'd have a heavier song and a lighter song on a single.

BOC played at a smaller hole in the wall in Goleta, California about 20 years ago and they haven't gotten any more popular since then. They were relegated to the fairground/c-tier venue circuit long ago. $75 is a rip-off unless they're your favorite band of all time or something.

Rocka Rollas is awesome. All of Ced's bands blend together in my mind, but every time I'm up for listening to one, there's a new album.
