Doing so causes it to be less sticky. Eventually mine falls off the window, lands clearly visibly on the dash. $30 ticket: parking ticket displayed improperly. Next day I use clear tape to tape it back onto the window. $30 ticket: parking ticket adhered to window improperly. Appealed both on the grounds of "what the gently caress did you expect me to do when your adhesive stopped working" and didn't have to pay, but jeez.
