Interesting facts about G2 coming out. shox wanted to kick NBK and apEX and bring in ex6 and SmithZz, presumably with SmithZz as a rifler. KennyS said that was OK, bodyy was like nah I don't think so, so it was 3v2. His justification was that there is bad chemistry within the team and that NBK and apEX are too individualistic and won't follow directions if things are going badly. While I can see that having disagreeable players under a strict IGL like ex6 is a recipe for disaster, I can't say I'd be particularly enthused at the prospect of a team with bodyy, ex6 and SmithZz. Although in shox and Kenny you have one of the best riflers and AWPs, and theoretically a great IGL in ex6, I'm not sure the firepower is there with bodyy and SmithZz. Maybe in 2014.

What I remember hearing about ex6 is that he is super tight as a leader which is great if you have people who are at their best being ordered like bots but if you have shox you kind of probably should let him off the leash a bit. Obviously though more structure has to come from somewhere for g2. I would be a hard no on smithz coming back though. Maybe he would make more sense under ex6 but my memory of him is being a total anchor outside of dust 2. I can't imagine dumping him for apex or nbk and i can't think of anyone else you would want in. If you have to drop 2 maybe rpk and body as the guys willing to be ex6's bots to set up Kenny and just let shox be shox

I wonder if simple on liquid would've worked if they tried it this year. The players have significantly more time between tournaments and for the first time ever. It's healthy for the (e)sport and may foster an environment for more successful mix teams in coming years.
