Speaking of obsessive shilling, stalwart goon Joe Slowboat has been... maybe not obsessively, but passionately shilling this to me for like two years now. When I realized that the update schedule is pretty slow and I don't actually need to read through a billion pages to get caught up, that was the last thing that needed to fall into place to get me to start reading Honestly? It's real good! I'm really glad I binged through it over the last maybe week or so. The first book had some pretty understandable growing pains that kinda come with the territory of such an intricate and exciting setting, where Allison's two modes for a while were "scared, confused, desperately begging someone to give her some exposition" and "gathering her courage, standing up for herself, demanding that someone give her some exposition". But they're the type of growing pains that the comic was able to move past pretty quickly, and there was always enough gorgeous aesthetic design and engaging hammy character action to make that necessary setup go down pretty well Jenny's Official Top 5 Character List, having read up to the part where the devil contest characters are getting introduced: 5) Nyave 4) Mottom 3) Allison 2) That angel with all the extremely relatable and depressing gender stuff going on, the name escapes me 1) Cio
