I assume the shipping is so cheap/free because sellers work together to just fill up a shipping container that's carrying something more valuable that actually got shipping charged; so it all arrives in port at the same time.

Yep

Australia is talking about a $7/package fee for all incoming packages (earmarked to fund our border stormtroopers for some reason) because our postal service has to subsidise packages so much

Any sign the EU or the US are thinking about changing this? Haven't heard anything related to it yet.

The current administration seems more upset with Amazon's relationship with the USPS than Chinese imports of things which are not building materials.

So, do cats not flail around like maniacs when you have them loosely bagged like that? Because that doesn't exactly look like a vessel of iron-clad containment.

All the reviews are like, "yay, the seeds arrived! L@@K A++++++ great seller"

mother fucker. plant them, see if they germinate, and what the gently caress grows before you give a glowing review of those absolutely legitimate super mario brothers piranha plant seeds

I loving hate fake seed sellers. Assholes. Oh look monilaria moniliformis seeds for less than $gently caress?! Maybe this time they won't be weeds.

:pcgaming: nope it's weeds :pcgaming:

doesn't matter if you buy them from etsy or ebay, from china (100% all fake) or serbia or greece or the us or canada gently caress you fake seed sellers. I mean these are obviously, very clearly fake and I wouldn't be stupid enough to throw caution to the wind with something like this.

I've used them at work in the past but the ones we had were a solid canvas rather than a mesh and a really determined cat could still impale you through it. They're useful for frightened cats just trying to get away but not the ones that turn into murder beasts out for blood.

Makes it so food for shrimp or other bottom feeders lands where you can see it, rather than in the plants in the back or whatever, so I can watch them eat. Because watching them eat is about as much excitement as you get out of an aquarium.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Ret...2311.0.0.wsCazO
It is ridiculous how much easier it is to catch shrimp and small fish using one of these vs. using the green nets that typically come with starter kits. It's like the fish don't even see it coming. And the very fine netting is apparently less like to lead to injury. Not terribly sturdy, but for price just get two.

Do you live in an enviro-friendly hellscape where everyone gives you side eye if you use plastic bags? Hate carrying around the bulky reusable bags?

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1PS...2695116554.html
These are pretty good, all the seams are lined so fabric edges aren't exposed and they don't tear apart as easily as other polyester bags in this price range. Washable, so you aren't carrying your new food around in dirty bags. Best part is that you can smush them down real tiny, small enough to fit one in your jeans pocket if you want. Worst part is that because the fabric is thin and easily smushed, they will not stand up on their own so filling them is a bit trickier than a more substantial bag. I've bought 5 or 6 shopping bags from ali, and probably like 10 locally, and these are the best so far. Easy to keep a couple a pocket, purse, or backpack so you never get caught without your bags when you need them.

It does seem to be a knockoff of a real brand, but the real brand doesn't seem to sell bags that look like this? :iiam:
