I think it's because their payment processors wouldn't work with them otherwise. An incest story line isn't illegal, otherwise GoT's wouldn't be a thing. I've never seen it, but in the 1970's there were a series of movies called Taboo that I think were supposed to be family members getting it on (in a fictional sense). So it's not like it hasn't been done. But the legality is hazy and I guess it's easier to just say it's your dad's new wife instead of your actual mom. At some point it'll become boring and we can get to to the next great taboo of little people doing it with really large people.
