What's hilarious to me (again) is that he's expecting Mexican border enforcement to intercept the caravans at Mexico's northern border. I.e as they're trying to leave Mexico and enter the US.

He thinks a) any country has effective border controls to prevent people leaving the country, not just entering; and b) it is Mexico's responsibility to prevent people (whether originating from Mexico or not) moving from Mexican territory into US territory, just as it is Mexico's responsibility to pay for the wall.

This is literally what he thinks. That countries have the wherewithal and the responsibility to prevent their people from going to other countries where they might cause problems.
Countries absolutely do have border controls at the exit points. Have you never travelled aborad? They at the least check that you have a valid travel document and entry permit, did not overstay your visa, etc. I was once detained for like 30 minutes because years earlier I told the police my passport was lost and then recovered. I never tried travelling without any documents at all but I would guess it would go even worse.

It might be different for refugees but they should've been processed at the entry.

Briles, like everyone else at Baylor during the time, actively covered up and delayed investigation into credible allegations of player misconduct including repeated incidents of domestic violence and sexual assault. For some reason, hiring Ken Starr failed to fix the problem.

quote:

Briles' decision to drop the suit came less than a week after new revelations about the Baylor program under Briles. A lawsuit filed against Baylor last week alleges that 52 "acts of rape" by 31 Baylor players, including five alleged gang rapes, took place at Baylor between 2011 and 2014. Briles took over the Baylor program in 2008.

The lawsuit also claims the program used sex to sell the program to potential recruits with players arranging for "women, alcohol and illegal drugs" to be available for recruits at off-campus parties.

I've traveled internationally quite a bit, and (whether crossing from the US to Canada by car, or UK to France by train, or US to UK by air) I've never had to go through an exit phase at customs. There is only control on the incoming side.

Unless I am completely blanking out the experience in every single case.

Yeah those are all pretty travel friendly countries.

Going out of customs, then back in isn't uncommon at all. Hell, when I flew international into LAX from China, I had to go through customs then leave the goddamn airport, then come back in and go through again.

When I flew into Delhi from London, I had to go out of customs which is basically just an excuse to bribe people to let me bring in booze, get on a goddamn bus, and travel across the airport to their new terminal, where i had to go through customs AGAIN...and bribe people again.

Cause I was carrying a lot of booze.

I've never had to go through outgoing customs when driving into the US, so I guess Canada should be paying for a wall too

Step 2 is when we declare war on Mexico because they don't do it.

According to the sermon I sat through at my folks evangelical church, what Christ thought and preached was irrelevant. The only thing that matters is the resurrection, which purified those who believe.

I should see if it's available on their website. It was a really amazing insight into the evangelical though process.
