Ugh, Arrow has run it's course and they need to just have Oliver come in for the yearly team up and either cut down to four superhero shows or start something new as the fifth. Also did Renee only have so many episodes on his contract? Oliver kicked him straight out of the show for like two months now and people just keep talking about what he is doing off screen. "He has internal bleeding and a collapsed lung so our major metropolitan hospital is powerless to help him. Wyld Dawg has to go back to his home planet for awhile" "Yeah, Renee's Daughter? I've got to tell you awkwardly that your father was injured and that he is in the hospital. He should be back in time for the season finale." "Renee is doing alright in rehab everyone don't worry about it"

I'd love Thea and Nyssa to come across the Legends and create awkwardness with Sara and I'm only half joking that I want Wally and Roy to meet, become frienemies, and go make some new friends. And the half of me that's kidding is only doing that because I know that's impossible since DC is doing a different Titans show.

I say let them run it into the ground as long as they can. I mean personally the show's never stopped being entertaining to me, whether it's because the show is actually good or because it's godawful and it's like watching a train wreck. I think the closest it's come (for me) to just being dull and therefore unwatchable is the start of season 4(?) with Vinnie Jones' painfully forgettable/bland crime boss, I can't even remember how he died.

Probably not, but Oliver and Dig just unloaded every bit of resentment between themselves then beat the poo poo out of each other. Then Oliver used a cluster bomb arrow.

I am going to be really disappointed when this doesn't end with both of them getting their asses kicked by hallucinations like a proper Vertigo episode. Edit: yup, disappointed. Bruceski fucked around with this message at 06:10 on Apr 6, 2018 |

CAPTAIN CAPSLOCK posted:Also I completely forgot but what was the green vial he gave Laurel at the end? I'm assuming the last bit of Vertigo. I don't know what one dose does though. Maybe plant it in Oliver's office to make his life even worse? Also I have literally no idea why Laurel is on this show. I mean, I know why, it's because Lance needs a plot where he cries about his daughter being dead while trying desperately to turn his evil daughter into a replacement daughter, and also because Katie Cassidy wants a paycheck. But in-universe it makes no sense. She's using her knowledge of Oliver's identity as leverage, which would've been fine and dandy up until a loving Nazi army walked through a portal into a major city. The world knows all too well the multiverse exists now, so just tell the press "oh Laurel-2 was confused because their Green Arrow was Oliver Queen but rest assured our Oliver Queen is not", show the test with her backwards DNA or whatever dumb differentiating factor the Earth-2 people have, then have Cisco and Barry strand her back on Earth-2 before she pulls another round of double triple secret agent on everyone. Hey guys, what kind of plots do people hate? Ones where the team splits up over the stupidest reasons while fighting a villain who isn't shown doing anything but everyone talks about how dangerous he is? Yeah, let's do that after doing the exact opposite last season and everyone loving that. Also that Diggle vs Oliver fight was so weak. Like, 5 seconds long, and that's it?

Honestly I like the premise so far of "every level of government is corrupt and Oliver realizes how he's alienated everyone around him" even if parts like the Outsiders leaving were sloppy, but Diaz just sucks so hard as a villain. If Cayden James or Anatoly or Laurel or anyone else were the big boss with everything else the same, it'd be infinitely better. I mean I was getting tired of his overuse but gently caress, give me Merlyn again! Just save me from this bland rear end in a top hat and his lovely Tony Montana impression.

Watching the episode last night, my wife and I were confused by Dig's blaming Oliver for everything that went wrong. I know it is this shows go to but come on, he blamed Oliver for the city becoming corrupt and all that crap and mean while Dig was in the hood. I let out a loud "FINALLY" when Oliver pointed out how everything sorta fell apart on Dig's watch. Think this episode was a distillation of everything wrong with the season. People getting mad at Oliver for stuff that wasn't his fault or for actions he took that made since. Outsiders: "You spied on us? We are so mad" Ollie: "Yeah I spied on you because one of you was a mole and I had to figure out who and Renee just admitted it" Knowing the clandestine nature of what they do, how are they mad at Olly over Renee in that one. Dig: You put Renee in the hospital Ollie: He was shooting at me (omitting the part where Olly disarms him and Renee picks up an axe like slasher flick killer) Outsiders: You spied on us again Logic: You mean after one of you was going on a murderous rampage that was interfering with their ability to try and salvage the city's money and let's not forget that crap they did with Diggle's arm implant. Dig: The city fell to corruption on your watch? Ollie: Oh you mean while you were Green Arrow, secretly using Boring Badguy's drugs. I think the writers need to avoid telling a story of internal group conflict because they are really bad at it. Diggle's whining the whole episode was so juvenile and illogical, his conclusions were very conveniently retold exonerating anyone else from blame while putting it all on Oliver. I get that they want to show Ollie pushing people away inadvertently but none of it adds up the way they want. The Quentin and Laurel-2 plotline still creeps me out. He found some random stranger, abducts her, and is trying to force her to be his dead daughter just because they look a like. A lot of bad choices. At this point to sell Diaz as an interesting character they are really gonna just need to do an episode from his perspective where in he actually does something to establish him as capable otherwise all his supposed menace just seems to fall out of the sky and makes no sense how he even got it all in the first place. Diaz has already won under The only bit of actual character development Diaz has gotten was probably when he was acting like a member of Cobra Kai on his abandoned casino MMA stage. Why is this guy worse than Slade? Why is this guy worse than the League of Assasins? Damian Darke almost destroyed the entire world, nuked a city and killed Laurel but he holds no candle to Diaz for what reason exactly? Even Cayden James had the bomb and could out magic Felicity with computers and was attacking the entire internet. Also why would it matter if the corrupt police captain fired anyone before she quit? Just rehire them?

The entire last episode had people talking about how well Renee was doing and how Curtis is taking care of his daughter but the last time he was on screen was when he collapsed in the woods like four episodes ago. It has to be something outside the show because I seriously doubt the CW would pass up an opportunity to use that one hospital room set to have a toughguy character tearfully meet with his daughter or give/receive an inspiring speech. Nope, he is just "in a hospital" and is doing okay everybody don't worry about it.
