Is there a way to make the top bar showing the thread title and the bottom bar showing the page number minimize or just disable it? I use my phone horizontally and it's super claustrophobic. tia

Sometimes even I load the app up (from the bookmarks shortcut on my home screen) the animated "data is refreshing" circle never goes away. Even if the threads' post unread counts look up to date. Has anyone else noticed this?

FYI the spinny circle is just the "I'm refreshing the display" indicator right now, the loading bars at the top of the screen are the actual "something is loading" ones. If those get stuck, then there's an internet problem somewhere

Definitely gonna second the disappearing bars suggestion. I keep immersion mode on, but having them say disappear on scrolling down and reappear on scrolling up would be wonderful.

Here's a thing, and maybe there's already a way and I've missed it because dum If you click a quote link to jump to that post you basically lose where you were since there is no way to open it in a new "tab" or whatever. Is there some way to be able to jump back to wherever you were last, like the back button on a browser might do? I've accidentally clicked a quote link before and got lost and it sucked. Seriously, thanks for the app, though. It's great!

It was a valid question when I asked it before and a valid question now. I'm more concerned about its effects on others than myself. Microaggressions (whether you like that term or not) exist and are bad and generally easily avoidable. It is also not a major concern by any means I love the frog, but it is sadly problematic. efb: I do love the sociological implications about just how loving weird it is that this conversation even needs to happen at all.

Generally speaking I would be far more concerned with someone reading the lovely posts I am browsing, not the cartoon frog that flashes on the screen for a second. Most people who know what the gab icon looks like are probably alt right anyway. Just make sure to wear a "PISS TAPE IS REAL" hat on the train so nobody gets the wrong idea
