There aren't many cool things about Texas A&M/College Station, but Aggie Baseball is one of them. Games are fun, and the crowd knows all these bits they do during it, the best of which is whenever the opposing team's manager or pitching coach goes out to the mound to talk to their pitcher the crowd starts screaming, "GRAB HIS BUTT, PINCH IT, GRAB IT." and if the manager gives the pitcher the standard sports-pat-on-the-butt as he walks away they all go nuts.

This upsets me on a deep level. First off, I'm hoping the Kelly estate approved of this, but if they did they just commodified & monetized the work of their ancestor. Also, the original dance number just blows this attempt out of the water. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1ZYhVpdXbQ 1minute in; I don't know how to embed time using Awful's coding.

It is a neat 13 year old video compositing piece done with the a team of effects artists who recreated and restored the classic set so that they could reverse engineer the shots, done around the same time the first video was ever uploaded to YouTube and dual core processors were just being sold to consumers. I'm other words, lighten up.

Aramoro posted:Like why put so much effort into something and then use ground beef. So, like, they should use pork instead of beef? Or they should grind it themselves? Or they should put in chunks of beef? Or they should not use any meat at all? Genuinely curious why out of all of the missteps made in making this lasagna, you find this one to be most egregious.

Most likely pork sausage with the casings removed (or just no casings to begin with). My first thought when they were putting in the ground beef and nothing else was "where is the sausage?". Should have likely been a mixture of the two, or just sausage. I suppose you could also use chunks of pork or beef to make something similar to a ragu, but I am hardly a classical Italian chief, so who knows.

Elizabethan Error posted:not that i'm defending space ladder lasagna, but using ground meat doesn't let you cook the meat as long and won't develop the same flavor as whole stew meat. So then you break it down after the sauce is done simmering, or does simmering do that for you? That seems like a recipe for ending up with long (1 inch cubes?) meat fibers that're the reason I don't like stew. But what do I know, I don't put meat in my tomato sauce to begin with.

I don't think you have to be traditional or anything go wild with what you want to put in it. But if you're going to a massive amount of effort to make something you want to be tasty then go that extra mile and make a proper ragu. Cooked long and slow you won't be ending up with strands of meat running through your sauce. The overall result will be tastier and less greasy then using ground beef. If you have a pressure cooker it doesn't even take longer than using mince.

I will always find it inexplicably hilarious that Zombieland was conceptualized as a weekly TV show (in that Zombie Kills Of The Week would be a thing), became a movie, had a (supposedly horrible) TV show that quickly got killed, only to have a movie sequel in the works.
