I went to a place famous for things like that in amsterdam and they were good but I did feel like death afterward. Still, just because it might be a shitload too much food/sugar for one person it doesn't make it AFP to me. Give me it again and I'll eat it until I get diabetes.

I am okay with the concept of that big jar of ice cream but not that particular one, unless it's just food coloring and not mint. That said though I'd definitely rather have all of it in a bowl or something instead of the chocolate slathered jar.

Nobody looks at that and says "that is a reasonable amount of food to eat in one sitting". It's supposed to be an over the top indulgence, not a daily dessert.

The green foam (green whipped cream?) and the green cookie filling are completely off-putting. Wouldn't, but only because I know that things like only taste good for the first 25% and the rest is just a slog of increasing misery followed by hours of feeling like hot death.

My grandpa made this back when he was still allowed to (my grandma basically doesn't keep the poo poo around to let him anymore) except replace coffee with milk, and add a ton of stale, dusty black pepper. I have a close friend, Katy, whose kid is a few years older than mine, and whose pregnancy was a little rougher. Part of prenatal care is the preggo diabetes challenge— a bottle of thick, gloopy sugar syrup to chug in three minutes flat, after which they draw your blood to see if you’re dying I guess. Mine made me throw up and then feel like poo poo for the rest of the day. Katy asked for seconds. I just showed her that milkshake and she shuddered and gagged. Think about your life choices.

Why don't they put a bit of flavour in it or some poo poo?

They do sometimes, but it’s hard to flavor pure fuckin’ glucose syrup in any way that hides the toxic amount of sugar you’re slamming. My midwife offered me a choice between plain and tropical fruit punch, and after smelling the punch one I physically could not imagine drinking it.

Mint is one of those things I just can't do. I can't even stomach spearmint gum. Only reason I buy Thin Mint cookies when the season's here is for my fiance who act like they're tasty minty crack.
