I don’t understand why we don’t go after white supremacists organizations and their members with feds. There’s no love for domestic terrorists at the FBI so it’s a goddamn mystery to me why the SPLC and ADL are the only ones trying to peg these motherfuckers. It’s counter terrorism but they devote very little muscle to putting these fucks in prison. If these mother fuckers were named Ahmed or Muhammad they’d be getting perp walked. Instead you got goddamn Frontline doing more investigations than all the loving law enforcement agencies. I seriously just don’t get it. The FBI is, generally speaking, staffed by good people who want to serve and protect the USA. There’s not white supremacy poo poo going down inside the FBI, so why the gently caress aren’t they trying to make cases on this poo poo? loving hell. Here’s my baby boy all wrapped up.

While you're not wrong, part of the problem is when you get guys like Comey who point at things like Black Lives Matter and say that they view it with suspicion and treat it with the same disdain as they would with the Black Panther Party circa '68. So when given a choice of either going after some white supremacist idiots that are relatively quiet on radar or a black civil rights group that due to your organizational bias you think *might* have some shady going on, you can see why most investigations steer towards those targets. And Comey, like much of the rank and file FBI, certainly has a lot of redeeming qualities, but you've also got to acknowledge he has some pretty loving stupid views on BLM and people protesting over policing in America.

FBI types probably feel like terrerists are the more pressing concern versus domestic terrorists, so they handwave and claim the local PDs can handle the homegrown poo poo. I think that's the same reason why you have the NRA types and the anti-McCain types getting/staying mouthy. Defending Trump is priority #1, so all of the other debasement (lying, making up poo poo, trashing others) gets rationalized because their priorities are way out of gently caress. Somehow despite the prior bombing attempt finding the rest of those fucks wasn't a priority until the rear end end of 2001. Something about a reactive bias as well. Whatever the last big threat was gets more focus. Some pre 9/11 details were missed due to a focus on finding the next Unabomber or OK City type. There was also one group in particular that was on the front lines in Charlottesville. This same group, while small, had terrified a bunch of colleges in Texas by driving around and putting up racist flyers in the middle of the night for months. A magazine did the state equivalent of FOIA and published emails from the campus police departments on how they were trying to respond, and there was an FBI agent in the mix of emails querying the campus departments on whether they had info on a list of names; the group's leadership -- and this was way before those same people were doxxed and outed by journalists and antifascist types, which leads me to believe the feds had pretty good intelligence.
