Also is comicsgate just people freaking out over comic tropes that have been happening forever like a character getting replaced by a black person or something

Also, the Sandman arc with the trans woman was pretty good for the time if not good for today, and Gaiman's heart was definitely in the right place when he wrote it. Gaiman pretty clearly avoids talking politics or doing overtly political work, but I don't know how anyone could look at his work and think he'd in any way be down with the chud crowd.
