I don't want y'all bringing your titty miniatures to a game with me for the same reason I don't want you to rock up with your porn collection. You getting off ain't why we're here. And advertising with a pin up mini is bad because reducing female representation to a sexualised billboard is bad. It's the same reason why a Hollywood movie being advertised with just stills of the nude scenes would be in crappy taste.

My friend's Kickstarter for a board game called Party Fowl just went live: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/159466030/party-fowl-the-game-of-drunk-ducks It's drawn by KC Green! quote:Party Fowl: The Game of Drunk Ducks is a card-based, light strategy game with area control mechanics on a modular board. Players win by playing cards that dominate specific topics of conversation, sabotage other players, and transform their characters into party legends and the coolest ducks on campus.

Sunset over Water is really enjoyable. It's one of those games that looks super chill and friendly, then you realize that it can be significantly more aggressive as you cut people off. I really enjoyed Herbaceous, so I guess I'm in for this. I also ended up going for Empyreal, since it seems like a good addition to my collection. I do need to thin mine out a bit, but oh well.

Look if you can expect anyone to do a proper job of managing the tracks it's Lovecraftian Sailor Moon. Doesn't change the fact that this is clearly a case of the character namer falling asleep on their keyboard and the designers just rolling with it. My copy of journal 29 came and I got a chance to do the first 11 puzzles on my train ride to work. First impression is favorable, the puzzles are nice and not too gimmicky. You will have to Google for some things by design, but the game isn't popular enough that I've had spoilers come up when doing so. I haven't gotten any puzzles yet that need any bending of paper or anything. My one complaint is that some of the text can be hard to read, especially when it's just letters instead of a word. If recommend it based on my experience so far and will be backing the KS tonight. Edit: A link to the ks for the sequel.

There definitely some obscure phrasing that I read completely wrong and googled and it autocompleted "journal 29" after that phrase. No spoilers though just took you to the hint forum.
